The draw shows us we are back as a power

100% agree. The first thing I said when I first briefly analyzed it was "this is a power draw".

Least interstate games (matching Coll) +
High numbers of FTA games +
High number of high drawing, high rating night games =

Draw of a powerful Melbourne club.

Hopefully we can back it up with some off field success to maintain the same style of draw next season. We now have to start justifying the status being afforded us.

anyone know if they are going to fix the farcical broadcasting arrangement that existed mainly in WA and SA this year that had Fox games of the team from that state shown at the same time on FTA as well, meaning we missed out on the other game in teh same timeslot??

If not it means i will miss at least 4 games this year due to the eagles/dockers being a fox game up against a FTA carlton game meaning i will miss the carlton game cos FTA perth will simulcast the Fox game.

Could all be fixed by giving us access to the Fox main event channel like nsw act and qld get

absolute bullshit situation i hope they fix

Hard not to be happy with the draw. Agree it means we are back as a 'power club', right where we belong.

We now have so many things going well with the club. All that's left is the most important thing, winning games. Let's hope we win our fair share in '08.

I thought the AFL was trying to screw us into the ground....yet this draw seems to indicate that they are being nice.

I am getting mixed messages here.

I am glad there are so many MCG games and so few interstate games considering we haven't got a good interstate game record (recently)

Would like us to win at least one interstate match - pretty please.

Like Kaptain Koota I don't like when the boys don't come to Sydney. In a way, though, it's a good draw, with 18 of our 22 matches in Melbourne. But why 2 visits to Adelaide?! And only one to Perth (not that there's anything wrong with that!) ..

My only bitch is that there are only five Saturday afternoon matches! WTF!!!

But in the Who Cares, our first match, in Dubai!!!!, is against Port. What do we think of that? Or does the "name" of the pre-season award answer that question?

Excellent draw for us.

Even the one Top 4 team we play from this season is a good one for us: Port Adelaide.

A month of Melbourne games to kick off, only 4 trips away, and 9 games at the G.

Thanks Fitzy

This is the problem. It should be fair for ALL.

The world is wrong - granted. And talk is cheap.

But some things that are wrong can be fixed, if not at the very least improved.

great draw for us. only complaint is the 6.10 start on the thursday. just reckon that is a ridiculous start time for the opeing game of the season. at my work the day before a public holiday is the busiest we get. i'm sure there are plenty of people in the same boat. the chances of me being there at the opening bounce are somewhere between none and @#$%&! all.

anyways, good draw for us none the less and now i just can't wait for it all to get under way

you would then have to increase the list of every team to about 50-55.
i have a problem with the amount of FTA games certain teams get and the amount they travel.. but the idea of everyone playing each other twice is not practical.

Doesn't stop the best team from winning the premiership.

There are more Blues Supporters in Mexico City than there are Swans supporters but they don't play here either.
I hate night matches because they go to air in Mexico at ten past two in the morning...
I think the draw is pretty good. I went first for the Perth trips and the Sydney trip and I was pleasantly surprised.
I think it is a kind draw and if we can win a few surprise games, we will have a good year.

I would think that if the season were extended, teams might be allowed to win 1 or 2 more games and still be eligible for the PP.

So I think tanking an extra 20 games might be closer to the mark.
