Got the book today. Read the stuff about pagan again. You barely raise an eyebrow when its in the book. The media just blew it up and some people fell for it.

From what i have read so far its ok. Is similar to SOS and Deisel.

I am not big on these type of books though.

SOS's book was horrible, Diesels was just ok (too statistics based) - the best ones are Dominator and Sticks, Percy's was ok also.

There was a fair crowd at Angus and Robertson's today to meet him and get a signed copy today. I walked up Elizabeth St and bought a DVD of Tarantino's "Death Proof" instead. Money well spent.

I have an old book gift voucher I got to use so I might as well use it on that. It's not big enough to cover a more expensive book.

I forgot to mention Harry's book - quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. He lists his highlight in football as setting up the players union - talks about the game like it was a job that he didn't like and was so money focussed its not funny.

SOS's book is a great read.

Diesel's lack a lot of emotion, but he had such an incredible journey to becoming a top line footballer.

Harry's is heart-warming, so simple and an old-fashioned passion for the game.

Save your money i reckon or buy a CD/DVD or The Blues Boys book if you haven't got it or other good Carlton history books, not a gossip book in my opinion.

Did he say 1997 (the year you meant) fell into the half he was underpaid? Or is this one of these threads where we'll just have a go at him for anything?

Can't wait until it hits the stage as a musical starring the man himself in the title role.

I read it long before he entered politics, have you read it? Some of the comments were astounding, for a man who cried after the 88' prelim to then write about the game without passion was amazing. Acutally to be fair it isn't how it is written rather the content that disturbed me.

A Glenn Archer DVD has just been released. It's no doubt that a Kouta DVD would be awesome to watch.

Please release a DVD, Kouta.

I bought it at Perth Airport, will read it tonight, I love footy books.

Brian Taylor wrote a goody a few years ago about him missing out in 1990..

Already read it. Pretty soft read, not a long book. Basically his family and friends talking about what a good family man, nice guy he is exactly. The dirt the herald sun reported is only a little section of the book.

I am reading James Hirds recent book at the moment, it is a much much better read. Interesting reading other teams players books as it gives you a different perspective.
