Excellent news.

I've got a great feeling about both of them.

Congratulations to both of them, but moreso Ryan Jackson. Has got on to the senior list the hard way after having a fairly successful junior/18s career. Hopefully this has taught him a lesson that not everything is given to you on a platter and that most things have to be earned. Hopefully this makes him work even harder now.

Congrats again to both players.

Surprised about Jamieson not being elevated. Maybe we will get a proven FB via the PSD???

Great news.

Jamison will be a nominated rookie next year, but because we have no veterans he will be able to play seniors from round one.

Ryan Jackson WILL be a STAR player.

I have no doubt about it.

Well done, Jacko.

Great stuff. Look forward to at the very least Zacky strolling out in round one of the season proper. :D

That's excellent news for both players - well done and looking forward to Season 2008 even more.

Another Ruckman on our list, this will stir the Cotchin -v- Kruezer pot between now and National Draft Day. :P

Apart from the muck stirred by the gutter journalists and beat up merchants I cant think of any genuine bad news at Carlton since Ratten was appointed caretaker coach.

at least 5 or maybe 6 of our young unknown players will graduate to noted young up and coming afl stars in 2008. Hampson and the O Hailpin brothers are 3, Jackson is another...Joe Anderson and Jamison will also come to prominence.

The no 1 draft picks Kreuser Murphy and Gibbs will fulfil their potential to be what we expect them to be - especially Bryce Gibbs - and with Judd and Fevola and others like Thornton, Stevens Fisher and Scotland - by round 17 2008, we won't know ourselves - actually I am wrong, we will know ourselves - because we will be a lot more like the Carlton of old......

It will be a dynamic. powerful and new Carlton side that has shocked the football world, and come from what to them - looks like nowhere.

I guess it gives people something to do, but I do get a little bit bored with the naval gazing over Kouta, Pagan and Caros posts - This is because I can see what we are headed towards..

And that will make all the Kouta Pagan and Caro talk look very irrelevant and passe...Last year I thought that the sack Pagan die would be cast by round 7 - although the actual sacking took place a bit later than this - But in 2008 I believe that it will be a preseason and 11 Home and away games into the season - and the signs of the new powerful Calron will be evident.

Things will look incredibly new and different...but I dont think we fully appreciate the upside that is just around the corner..

Both fantastic additions to the Carlton list. Some people would think that Aisake on the senior list was always going to happen no matter what, but he has displayed a huge amount of improvement from day 1 and is now in the seniors through Setanta-like determination.

And so the should be too.

With no disrespect to Flint, Jackson SHOULD have been promoted last season.

Both have worked very hard and are deserving of a spot not only on the senior list but in the senior side.

Cannot WAIT to see em both lining up against Richmond in round 1.

Wonder if Jamison will be promoted?

After reading this post, I think I need to get my heart checked again.
Oh how I yearn for those glory days when we used to "expect" wins everytime we rolled up to play and nothing less would suffice.

I think he has more in him than that.

Ratts was a tagging back pocket player in his first few seasons as well - it took Ken Judge to realize what a gem we had and he was released to the mid-field. :-D
