Don't worry, I still have a sceptical side, and like anything medical, every person's prognosis is different, as are the outcomes.

I'd just like to imagine with all the resources at his disposal, and how technology has advanced so fast, he'd be fine.

"Judd may lose a yard of pace".

Can I just state 2 things:
1. Fevola had the same groin release surgery at the end of 2005, that Judd has just had;
2. Fevola won the 2006 Grand Final Sprint.

I'm not convinced that he will be any slower.
If anything, the surgery will free him up to be quicker than he's ever been, or at least quicker than his last 2-3 years.

In addition Jonathon Brown had abductor release surgery in 2006 and this year was arguably his best.

Nick Stevens could have continued playing this year however he opted for surgery due to the obvious risks involved.
