Can Stevo do a Diesel?

Can he play on well into his 30s?

He's 28 next year, and I think we need him to play for as long as possible as he's such a polished player.

Do we think he can play on forever? Does he want to? Will his neck prevent him from playing well into his 30s?

I would guess we all hope Stevo can go on for 5 years, not 3.

Goodwin, Edwards and McLeod are all 31 now, and are all going strong.

He needs to go on for 5 years until he's 32, because the Kreuzers and Hampsons and Aisakes won't really hit their straps for another 3 years.

I thought we had only one of each... gee our team will be good next year!

i hope so, against the west coast this year - claiming a west coast defender's rushed behind as a goal - and the goal umpy believing him:)

anyone remember who the west coast budgie was?
it was a wonderful moment in my life.

Was Tony Evans...

And no. Stevens will never be Diesel's jockstrap.

But I hope he's at least his socks...

I would want him to be more a Craig Bradley (damn he was good), playing until mid-30s and racking up 30-35 possies consistantly until he gave it away... maybe having a year off from punishing his body with AFL football will extend his career by a year or two. I hope so.

What about a cross between the Doormat and Braddles .. playing well past their 35th birthdays and more than 300 games each ..

Lets just hope he can make a full comeback after his injury, which anything but assured, before wondering if he'll be the next braddles etc.
