That may just be beyond Mr. Allison's capabilities at the moment.

are you making light of his becoming quadriplegic?

Is he?

Yes, from a recent car accident.

In AG's defence, I read it as saying that Allison is so repugnant that he couldn't pay to get flowered, regardless of his physical state.

The whole sorry tale is thankfully behind us.
Koutas approach demonstrates why he was never a real leader. Its a fact of life; some players have an ability to face adversity and lead the group in the right direction and others choose to take the soft option.
Unfortunately, Anthony has only confirmed what many of us thought about his leadership skills.
As for his book, he can bang it up his date.

As for Denis, none of this is anything new.
Good leaders inspire their people and sell the message to them so everyone is heading in the right direction.
Their players play for them and collective success instead of playing in spite of them.
Denis' divide and conquer approach was never going to work. A good man manager would have assessed the situation and handled it better.

Thankfully they're both involved in our past and not our future.

Lets look forward.

This is how I call it.

Pago, I suspect, signed a "confidentiality clause" as part of his nice payout package so I doubt he'll be able to add much to this, other than playing the straight bat.

Next.

And that new read, he's definately putting some contraversial detail into that one. Was listening to SEN yesterday, and many carlton fans were not to happy with Kouta, with one guy calling him the biggest overpayed and overrated footballer in the AFL. Not Happay.

By the sounds he may have to dip into his client's extensive share portfolios to afford it these days. But an unfortunate situation nonetheless.

Pagans getting everything he deserves and Kouta is only saying the truth and you can't have a go about that.

I remember the arrogance Pagan had to throw a game against Saints by putting Fev full back on Gehrig. Gehrig kicked 5 goals in the first quarter and game was over

Apparently it taught Fev a lesson and to teach his players to always do what he says otherwise you get punished or embarrassed.

That is just one example many more.

Kouta is only telling everyone what everyone already knew. Even fans didn't like his gameplan and l knew thru certain sources players didn't like his gameplan.

People can have a go at Kouta for having a book which brings out the truths about the club or would you rather he woffled on and pretended everything was rosey under pagan.

For me l would rather a book which tells the truth and not BS. Pagan ruined the club for 4-5 years and Koutas book is only telling us what we all suspected anyway.

The problem is Kouta wont be talking about how guilty he was being overpaid... or Lance and his preperation.. Elliots golden handshakes...Campos turncoat antics..Sticks decisions.... as far as Kouta is concerned all of Carltons ills are to be placed solely and squarely on Pagans shoulders...

The book's one thing but ACA?

@#$%&! bogan.

This is starting to rival the Whitnall fiasco.

Anyone now suggesting that Kouta is simply "setting the record straight" and not simply feathering his nest is just deluded.

At least this clarifies exactly where Kouta's allegiances lie - with his wallet.

This thread sucks.

Both sides of the argument are right. Both sides of the argument are wrong.

End.

Couldn't agree more. Fremantle players copped a lot of shit for pushing Drum out - this is the same thing - but some how the board kept it very clean with his removal (in the end) and little was said from the players. Does not matter now about Pagan's performance - its realised more than ever that its a (blue) boys club and this all looks bad for Kouta's reputation with so many differing opinions. His comments of going from 20 possies to 9 is going to hurt the credibility of what he's written.

Still, I'll probably buy the book for a read anyway!

I was just thinking about some of Steven's comments a little while ago about the partying ways he and some of the players had a few years ago. How after 2005 Wiz Cup they hit it hard and that he only really trained correctly in the last year or so.

It really was a sorry state for quite a while. Thankfully he and the club have turned it around.

Apparently the phone at Carlton FC has been ringing off the hook.
The subject :?: Kouta's book. Plenty of calls supporting him and plenty of calls bagging him.

Thanks for uniting the supporter base Kouta.

ACA hey :?:

Guys like ratten, Hickmont, Mckay went away and kept quiet for the good of the club.

Whats also interesting is that early in the piece the players decided that Pagans game plan didnt suit them, which it probably didnt. But I wonder how much say they think they should have. The nurses in Victoria went on work bans for their payrise. It seems our players decided they wouldnt commit to a game plan they didnt agree with. I didnt know we were paying them to formulate game plan also.

The list of people who are responsible for Carltons decline is a long one. It include pagan but he's not on his own Kouta. Its no coincidence that ratten has moved on Lappin, Whitnall and Kouta when they all thought they had another year in them. He wasnt Pagans biggest supporter as a player but he obviously observed what happened
