Surely this can't be true.

My guess is we were into him, but it fell through, so the rumours are old news.

(just trying not to get my hopes - and my knob - up).

That would rule Ninethmond out - ya know, Terry's youth policy? :P

So we won't know who is on the market until Brennan and richmond commit to eachother. After that, watch all un-contracted players have a crack at getting to PP

Forget it.

Swann is being mischevious.

Perhaps a little bit of sleight of hand by Swanny to deflect attention from elsewhere.

I'm finding the Tiggers annoying lately...like bush flies getting into your eyes and nose on a stinking hot day.

Isn't there a league in New Zealand that they can play in?

Why would they go, they wouldn't win a flag there either?

No good for them - there is only 6 teams in that League so there is no way they could finish Ninth.

This is exactly what a few mates of mine were talking about the other day. Interesting times ahead...

Even though he's got 2 years on the contract, he still can terminate his contract if he wants out. He just won't get paid for that period, that's all.

Not sure how DUC would go with a tent in her pants...

Maybe not the pants, but how about my bra? 8)

No he can't. WC can refuse to let him go anywhere if he's still under contract.

QFT - He would have been required to let the Eagles know that he wanted out before trade week so that a suitable deal could have been organised.

As there was absolute no mention of his name during trade week, this would have been unlikely.

If he tries to get out now, it will be an excellent case of free agency at it's most advantageous to the player and not their club.

It wasn't Swann who brought up the Embley defection...it was Waldron who incidentally said 4 months ago that "The Eagles Captain is heading to Carlton".......and he turned out to be right.

Swann actually said that we might not use our PSD for an uncontracted player and use the spot to promote a rookie instead.
