1. Geelong - Will probably be better now they don't have all that baggage to carry
2. West Coast - Say what you want about them, they're still a class team, and will be therabouts again
3. Hawthorn - Will be a powerhouse team over the next few years, but still a step short of that mark right now
4. Fremantle - Expect Mark Harvey to kick a few of those prima donnas in the arse and get them firing
5. Collingwood - Younger players will improve, but older players will drag them down. Break even.
6. Port Adelaide - Made a GF this year, and despite the hammering they got will continue to improve, even if they don't finish as high as 07
7. Lions - Scared the shit out of many teams at the end of 2007 and will get better
8. St Kilda - I hate to say it, but have a list that should be playing finals. Premiership window all but shut though. The slide will be spectacular, and funny
_____________________________________________________________

9. Roos - Passion and shinboner spirit can only get you so far. Will be the hunted in 08 and will suffer
10. Swans - Ageing list and shitty trading. Need to rebuild.
11. Blues - Would love to make finals, but I think our backline will continue to hamper us. 09 will be our year, mark my words.
12. Adelaide - Can't rule them out, and I understimate them at my own peril. But are another team like the swans that need to rebuild
13. Doggies - Still too small, and despite getting a decent ruckman will still get found out by bigger bodied teams
14. Essendon* - No Hird, and with Lloyd/Lucas/Fletcher another year older. Younger players aren't anything special. Will need a few fluke wins like 07 to have a sniff
15. Richmond - Showed signs of improvement late 07, but come on, they're RICHMOND ;)
16. Demons - Dean Bailey has made it clear that this should be a rebuilding year for the dees, so expect a lot of experimenting and heavy losses

Premier: Geelong
Runner-up: West Coast
Brownlow: Sam Mitchell
Coleman: Johnathan Brown (Fev will be up there though with the delivery to him improving)
Rising Star: Shaun Grigg :-D

Barrel,
Love your optimism. 47K membership will require Sir Dick to purchase at least 5,000 of them like he did this year, but its the call of Michael Jamison in the All Australian team that cracks me up. If Jamo makes AA then i'd be backing him for the Brownlow. Add to this the inclusion of my man Murph and you have me in stitches. Quality Barrel! Quality!

Draft smoke: Patrick Veszpremi. Will go top 20 but will show top 5 qualities. 8)

Massive improvement tipped in 2008, but most are focussed on midfield and the effect up forward.
If we compete with teams and do well, expect Jamo to further blanket opponents, but start to run & create. Matthew Egan is good, but his season was overrated. I see 'experts' diagnosing our improvement, and our improved defence will be attributed to Jamison.

I suggest you don't back him to win the Brownlow - just because he makes the AA team doesn't mean he'll vote - Darren Glass.

Veszpremi - Top 5 qualities - what, in the Pie-eating competition?? I guess someone needs to takeup the void left by Stewie Dew ........
