It's because of Synbad that I first signed up on TBV back in 2002.

Goodness knows. He'll possibly turn on another player just to keep his hand in. My guess is Wiggo or Houla.

Why "or".
Why not both.

Either way, anyone playing for himself is worthy of critisism.
Houla clearly falls in that category.
I'm putting my money on him.

I have nothing to say at this time....

Sad to see Lance go cos he is the last of that 99 team.

But im absolutely RAPT to see him gone and we now have a brand spanking new team.. with emerging talent...and a steely resolve to taje us 'there'... and we still have abit of tweaking and developing to go but were just about there..

All the hard yards are just about to pay off for us.

Thanks for some some great memories Lance but this is a new era....

Put your money on Ackland....

They will keep him one more year... ruck cannon fodder... so HAmpson and Kreuzer (if we take him) dont get hammered...

But i dont think he is guaranteed a game

Did the moron Ricky Nixon say.. ""last time i checked Lance was the capatin of the club"???

From the article:

He also claimed the Blues were "the kings of leaked information".

I don't understand why Nixon accused the club of leaks. The leaks have stopped ever since the election.

"Nixon also said the club's board was pathetic." But this was Ratten, Swann and Icke's decision, not the board.

He said that Lance should have stayed on even if he was on the LTI list.. that this would have been the best way forward for the cub and Lance... cos Lance deserves respect!!!

Look there is aot of bitterness... and in my opinion theyre hoping to shame th club into some more Pratt charity for Lance.
Its clear that theyre having a hard time letting go... when EVERYBODY thats been following Lance closely knows he is finished!!!

It's a strange one Synbad because Nixon basically admitted he's finished as well. Also they didn't tell him earlier so he could get a proper send off because they gave him every opportunity to try and prove his fitness. Like you said it's like they're after a charity contract.

The first thing a lot of people on this site (myself included) do when logging on is to check and find what Synbad's latest offering is.

When he has nothing to say will be a sorry day for Talking Carlton.

I also know many who have dropped off the site because of Synbads attitude.

There is a difference between informed debate and straight up abuse of posters he takes a dislike to. While it is true Sybad has inside knowledge of the club, I also have some difficulty with the selective/ slanted infomation that is a times provided and the disregard of information that may not suit the agenda beig run at the time.
Someone suggested to me yesterday that they thought Synners was the Andrew Bolt of TC and I think that is a fair assessment.

After his (lack of) effort and commitment to the Dark Navy Blue jumper, I would have thought it has to be Ackland.

If Houla became a peripheral player trying to hold or gain a position in the first 22, it will be a sign that we have some serious depth and are challenging for the flag.

Who else is peripheral who deserves the wrath of Synbad? That's for Synbad to determine. But as mentioned above anyone who is bleeding the club dry or not committed to the jumper is going to be targeted.

Of the peripherals the following seniors (whilst may lack in certain areas of their game) are at least giving their all and not costing a fortune:

Saddington
Blackwell
Wiggins
Bannister
Cloke
Bentick

Hartlett
Edwards
Benjamin

It's now up to the above to take the next step and take the game on in 2008.

In relation to Lance - I'm still not sure how it could have been handled correctly :? We gave him the chance to overcome an injury that has been causing his weight problems for years, the news was bad.

Just because he missed the GF parade hardly means we've completely dissed him. I for one was hoping he would be able to go on - I love the big fella, but when your body says stop, you have to listen.

Going on in 2008 and copping shit from media and supportersis hardly the most gracious way to end a career  .

C'mon Mark, you admitted yourself you weren't long for this site after your abusive and threatening post last Friday afternoon. :P
