Shame his knee gave out this year, he was pretty good last season.

Lance disagrees that his knee is bad.. and thinks its an excuse to shift him so the club doesnt get pelted by the fans for sacking him.
Lance believes he has 2 years left... and he also believes the club has cost him with other clubs.
If Lances knee isnt bad.... and he is that bad.... he shouldnt even be thinking about playing.

Lance and Nixon are clingging on to the past

Seriously, has anyone actually told this guy the truth in his time here? Because it seems he is living on another planet to the rest of us.

Nixon has been overrun by Connors in player management.
Conners stable >>>>>>>>>>> Nixon's stable of players.

Remember when Nixon went on radio a few years ago pissed of alcohol and lashed out on his client at the time, Carey? He's all good form - NOT.

There's a new sheriff in town, Nixon. And it ain't you - maybe time you hung up the boots as a player manager, as well

no arguement from me re. whitnall not being given a new contract.

irrespective, it is a clumsy finish to an otherwise pretty good week.

it's all over now, stop shit caning the man and let's move on shall we ?

Lance was a real asset between 1997 and 2000. What annoys the living suitcases out of me is that if I was paid 300 - 400k to play footy and train and do weights and swim and have my own fitness people around me , I would have very little fat on me. unfortunately, like a lot of us who need to lose some weight, I've got a regular job and if I want to shed the kilos, I've either got to go to the gym at an ungodly hour of 6am or at 7.30pm. If I'm lucky, I'll go once, maybe twice a week. This guy was PAID to do this and had no other FLOWERING jobs to attend to. Sorry Lance, YOU GET NO PITY FROM ME WHATSOEVER. Good luck with your future, but don't expect too much sympathy from most TCers

Carlton is very, very quickly becoming a powerful entity under the leadership of King Richard and Swanny. Total professionalism and excepting nothing but the best are their ultimate goals.

Having spent some time with Ratts I firmly believe he will leave no stone unturned in getting his beloved CFC back to the top.

He is fully focused on what needs to be done and I dare any player to step out of line from here on in while he is Coach. It is 1 in all in or don't bother turning up for your pay cheque.

The departure of Whits is virtually the final statement in a long line of statements since King Richard came back on board.

New Board
New Coach
New Assistant Coaches
New Fitness people
New Professionals behind the scenes
New Gym equipment
New Carlton
New Attitude

The players will want for nothing in the near future. They either earn their money and their place on the list or move on. Slackers and Bludgers will be weeded out very quickly by the Club.

I'm not sure that its the right decision this year. - We have now lost our 3 most experienced players - When fit Lance is our best CHB option. I am really worried about our defence now and hope that we use all our other draft picks on backmen this year.
He still required one of the oppositions best players and I think that Fisher, Waite and Thornton will fell more pressure now that he has gone.
Probably didn't help his own cause. No cartlon players left now who played alongside Sticks, diesel, peter dean etc

I disagree. When Lance was at his best, he still hurt the team as a lot of players would run off him. This season he missed a few games and when he did play, didn't have a huge impact. I liked Lance, but his lack or discipline in regards to fitness year round is now coming back to bite him.

Lance has been ordinary for far too long...This decision (if Ratts made it)
makes me excited he is our coach.

In form and fit, Lance could, firstly and for mostly provide a strong alternative up forward, either being the option of choice or taking a bit of pressure of Fev. and Fish.

Up back, he often read the play beautifully and for long periods, provided us with a lot more stability there than we'd had for a long time, often thwarting strong oppositions and putting us in game winning positions.

But he's not a part of the future at Carlton. Our prospects have changed sooo dramatically within the last week it's incalculable, and the only players who can make the grade have to be fully fit, virile and full of potential.

Lance, as he is now just wasn't gonna be a part of all of that at Carlton. He could have been, maybe he should have been but he isn't now...

Thank you, Lance for a lot of magic and for helping us to get across the line in '99. We'll always respect you and - well, yeah, love you for that - and so much more...

but it's over.. Good luck to you! Here's hoping the crows might pick you up..

Rich

Give Ricky enough rope and he'll do the rest.
Ricky, you don't need anyone to question your integrity, cos you prove time and time again all by yourself, that you don't have any.
You admitted yourself, that you want to 'flog a dead horse'.
Isn't there a law against false and misleading information.....you drip!

Had a good laugh when listening to that. Came across as a dodgy used car salesman sooking that we revealed publicly Lance's knee concerns and how how this would reduce his chances to continue his career

He must've realised about 30 seconds later how dodgy he sounded so he tried to back-peddle by saying the - "ofcourse they would fully disclose Lance's phyiscal condition to prospective clubs"

I stuck up for Lance on here this morning - but after hearing Pricky Nixon on SEN after that, well, see-ya later, thanks for the memories, pity they have been tarnished by your cock of a manger. Mark Allen is a wanker also, talking about 'no way to treat your captain' well I say - act like a captain and we will treat you like one.
