I think it may have been mentioned elsewhere but Cordy was originally poached from the Bullies after the '05 season (in late November).

That is to say he established the fitness levels of the '06 Bulldogs.

He looked after the forwards last year, at least later on.

Wasn't Libba ( :garthp: ) in charge of defence last year?

Crosisca started with the backs and moved to the forwards during the year.
Ratts was the forward coach and took on the midfield.

Credit to Crosisca, he was exceptional in both roles.

CRICKET AUSTRALIA APPOINTS STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

21 NOVEMBER 2005

Cricket Australia has announced the appointment of Justin Cordy as the Australian men's cricket strength and conditioning coach.

Cordy, the current physical performance manager at AFL club the Western Bulldogs in Victoria, will start his role with the Australian team in the next four weeks.

His previous experience includes work as the fitness advisor to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, assistant fitness coach at AFL club Essendon*, and most recently as the fitness coach to the Australian team in the International Rules Series against Ireland.

Michael Brown, Cricket Australia's General Manager of Operations, said Cordy's experience and formal qualifications in physiotherapy and exercise science would be important in managing the day-to-day training of the Australian players, as well as preparing them for upcoming major assignments against England in the 2006-07 Ashes Series and the 2007 World Cup defence.

Cordy said he was pleased to be joining Australian cricket at such an exciting stage for the sport.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of working with this elite team and building a platform for their continued fitness and development both in the short term this summer, and planning ahead for future tournaments."

Cordy replaces outgoing strength and conditioning coach Jock Campbell in the two-year role.

A strength and conditioning coach for the Australian women's team will be announced in due course.
