Piss him off now and lets start with a new era at Carlton.
Trade him to Lalor Footy Club for a few kegs

Full ones or empty ones?

it's funny you say that because when i was playing there (in u/13's) there was this massive cage which you'd throw the empty kegs in!

Hey Hyphen, leave Humpy outta this discussion. Does a pretty good job I reckon, even if he does live in Porn Central. :P

Many viewed him as lazy and only willing to look like he is working hard in the last year of his contract, nothing has changed. As Tyrant said, he won a B&F playing as a loose man in defence, and even then his second half of the year was poor.

Whitnall playing that 'floating role' gave it at least a tiny bit of stability when no-one else could play there. With Lance injured this year we had to put Jarrad Waite back there for gods sake, and he didnt do anywhere near as well as Lance. So lets say that Jarrad Waite is proof of the disgraceful coaching from Pagan too shall we?

Maybe one of the SA clubs will take him. Don't they like "floaters" over there .....

I fear I'm morphing into Melvey

Agree.....For all those who wish to retain Lance maybe some of them could suggest where we are going to hide / play him.
He doesnt have a position anymore and the sweeper/floater across half back was a role devised to hide him rather than benefit the team structure.

Would Lance be the first player in the history of the Afl to be named captain AND delisted in the same year :?:

Says a bit about where we were at as a club at the beginning of the year. How quickly things can change

Auction him off by the pound.

After the week we have had with the recruitment of Judd and to a lesser extent Hadley, we are saying that we will be bringing a more professional look to the club and to our players.

Lance is from a bygone era, where players used to have a smoke and beer at the quartertime huddles.

He sets the absolutely wrong example to the young players and if we are serious about moving forward, then he needs to be left behind.

I'm sure there is a spot on the coaching panel for him somewhere with his football brain :garthp:

this is a big test for the club, we will see how serious they are about a culture change from this outcome.

personally I believe he will be given the chance to play on, and will be used deep forward untill we draft another KP forward. Or floating around the backline.

Kennedys leaving will prolong his career, but going on this years form he has been dead weight and chances are he will continue to be next year.

Does the club show loyalty/sympathy or does it shape up?

Keep him and trade him for pick 90 from St Kilda next year.

I think Lance will survive one more year with Kennedy being traded. :(

It frustrates the hell out of me seeing players with so much ability pee it up against the wall. Players like JK are desperate to be a part of our club and blokes like Lance rock up every second year underprepared and over fed.
Yet kids who would give anything to play in the carlton jumper are denied the opportunity.

Lance is a relic of the past and thats where he belongs.

I'm sure a platter of sandwiches or something tasty would have been there to make Lance feel comfortable...

Quite possibly. I like Lance and (apart from his atrocious kicking for goal) he showed he still has something to offer in one of those later games but his position in the team can cause problems with team balance.

Wish him all the best - he should go - no excuses.

We have turned a big corner this year, and he isn't going to be part of it.

We don't need him.

A forward line of:

Fevola, Fisher, Waite, Hartlett, Edwards etc is more appealing than Lance unfortunately.
