Now that it is all done and dusted, I feel we need to debrief with our expectations.

I personally think it is great news, great news but our expectations should be realistic.

What do you all think?

Is this in relation to our ladder position or how he rates compared to other players on the list?

5th to 8th, providing we keep all our good players on the park.

Hey, thoughts create reality. Don't think I'm not trying.

I think 7 to 10 but no option for that.

I think 8-12th personally (no option). Finals is a possibility, but I expect us to be a 'mathematical chance' to make the 8 in the last few weeks, but to end up just outside the finals.

As for 2009, I would expect top 8 at the least.

God I hope Judd stays fit.

Just checked TAB Sportsbet.

We are paying $26 for the Flag in 2008.

One notable team that are behind us in the line of betting is the Scum, paying a modest $35.

..in all seriousness, provided we don't get any longterm injuries to our star players i'd think bottom rungs of top8.. ..with judd and stevo in the middle, the improvement of murphy will be astounding, and gibbs will surprise as well.. ..carrots really came on this year as did fisher and simo.. ..walkers run and russel's as well will be a talking point next year i think, and ppl that have been dissing scotto and houla's will likewise be pleasantly surprised as well.. ..and judd's professionalism on the training track will hopefully rub off on fev, and i expect him to kick quite a few bags next year..

In the last six weeks we challenged every team except for kangas and demons (if we actually tried, we would of challenged them too). St. kilda, the filth, the scum, and port in adelaide. With the inclusion of Judd and Stevens, I'd be upset if we don't get a minimum of 8 wins next season. We'll finish anywhere between 6th and 10th.

Well said, the flow on effect Judd could have is huge. On the field and off the field. Marketing, sponsors, exposure in the media, game coverage and on the ground. Murph goes from the number one hunted to number three with Judd and Stevens out there. The other mids should have a field day. 8)

6 -10 for me BTW

Not to forget we have gone from the club no one wants to be traded to, to the club they should be lining up to be traded to. Pre season draft will be very interesting this year. Hopefully we can snag someone of value without offering excessive contract terms like we did last year.

First step is to gain the respect of our opponents.

Second step is to sort out our haemorrhaging defence and get our percentage to at least even.

Third step is to start worrying about ladder positions.

But I voted for 9-12.

9-12 is always a disaster and unfortunately a real possibility.
