really began to shine under the guidance of Ratten and it's a real shame we had to let him go.

Good luck Josh,

it's a shame someone had to make way. But in the end, I am sure that you can have a successful career and make yourself into a top-notch AFL footballer. Good luck over in the West... I promise that Carlton fans will always appreciate the time and effort you made for the club in your two years of service.

Good luck Josh,

I am sorry on Carlton's behalf that we do not have any talent better than you that would be of interest to a premiership side. It speaks loads for your talent and character that they actively chased you. They equate you with being at least some compensation for the loss of perhaps the best player in the competition.

I personally think that Carlton has made a mistake in making this trade. You are precisely the type of person we need at Carlton and your loyalty to the club is inspirational.

You made the commitment to move from WA to Vic. You gave your all in a team that constantly moved to make your onfield role redundant and yet you are still the only player the Eagles wanted. I just think that it speaks loads for your personal character.

May you be a premiership CHF in the years to come.

Like the countless other people that have said this on here over the last week or so, "You are my favourite non-Carlton player".

Good luck, stay off the drugs and enjoy the challenges of your new workplace.

Good Luck Josh and Thanks

I always admired your conduct on and off the field and looked forward to seeing you develop into one of Carltons leaders

Shattered to see you go and will always cheer for you, no matter where you play (except maybe collingwood)

Rip it up

Josh as I mentioned in another thread I hoped that we'd still see you in navy blue even after the Judd deal had gone through. It wasn't to be and I like many here am saddened to see you go. Good luck Josh .... we'll all be tracking your progress at the WCE.

Looks pretty happy there

I guess he feels like he's been dumped for a better looking partner. It would make sense on some rational level but still a bloody shit thing to happen.

I give it a week.

Thankyou for your service to the Carlton Football Club, wishing you luck for your continued career. You will be the first carlton player to leave the club and not reiceive boos or cheers......unless you kick ten against us

A couple of videos to remember your time at Carlton.

Our family is gutted you're moving west Josh. If the way you handled yourself personally over the last couple of days is anywhere near the football you will play for the Eagles then they are a very fortunate team. Hope you maintain your Carlton friendships and save your best for when you play against us.

All the best Josh...... I will always appreciate your efforts and your contribution to the Carlton football club, your a top quality young man with an abundance of courage loyalty and an amazing sense of self dignity and respect. I hope you have a long and successful career. I like many other supporters hoped like hell it would have been with the Blues, It wasn't to be and the nostalgic side of me hopes one day you may return. Wishful thinking perhaps but regardless I hope you kick a ton and turn out to be as equal a champion footballer as you are an individual. Good luck..
