what ramifications could this if any have on our club.

with the pub deal going down and now this why have i got this feeling things aint as rosey as they seem.

i mean, we made a profit this year due to hand outs (2.2 million) from the AFL and 2 million from the raheen fund raiser and im sure a few more have been tipped.

the redelopment has yet to begin, been in the pipe line for over 2 years

i am gratefull that the club is in a much better position and with smorgy gone alot has gone on.

but i just got this bad feeling for some reason especially when your president has been found guilty of price fixing (which i know goes on in the business world)

i just dont hope it tarnishes some of the so called 'announcements' to be made in the future.

BFD.

Pratt pleads guilty to avoid a drawn-out saga, and agrees to a deal which sees him pay some sort of loose-change (for him) fine. Visy continues its cosy monopoly of the packaging/recycling industries.

One of James Packer's casinos was just found guilty of cheating patrons by using short decks. I'm pretty sure PBL shares didn't take a dive based on that...

Mr. Melvy - you are one pessimistic dude.

I suspect Melvey should change his nick to " Chicken Little"

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

You would have to be the most negative poster on this site.

Either that or you are a Collingwood supporter stirring the pot.

Which is it Eddie?

i just think the current situation we are in is partially due to our arrogance.

a arrogance that is slowly creeping back in....

'we got 9 pubs they got 4'

'lexus centre will look like a scrap heap compared to our new facilties' where the bloody hell are they.

'we are carlton f*ck the rest'

have'nt we learnt our lesson yet, we shoot our selves in the foot constantly and end up looking like dills, where is the leadership

start winning games, earn respect then we can be cocky

funny how Melvey says "your president" in his opening post, then goes on to talk about "us" in first person.

Flower off collingwood supporter.

The ACCC alleges that Visy initiated price fixing activities for boxes with Amcor – who both control something like 90% of the packaging market.

The ACCC ruled about a year ago that if one of the two price fixing partners dobs in the other one, they will be immune from prosecution. Amcor dobbed in Visy.

Pratt will fight this in the courts for the next couple of years at least.

His lawyers will be advising him to not be seen to be extravagant in his financial dealings throughout this period.

It seems that Dwayne Russell wants to make an issue of it. He will be touching on the subject tomorrow and what impact it will have in football terms. This man is a jerk.
