Pratts not happy about that one.....
Mathesons are coming through the finishing touches have been made already..it will net us more than those were supposed to.
And the sponsorship is just about here too...
With Judd...
i ts business as usual breaking all records...
The enquiry into membership and sponsrship is through the roof.

If you dont get in early for membership yu might be left in the cold...

You seemed to insinuate in an earlier post that there would be changes at board level. When you say Pratt is not happy about that one, do you mean that he is angry at certain directors who were supposed to be responsible for getting the deal done, or do you mean that he is just "not happy" it fell through?

Not happy we were allowed to think it would go through and it wasnt going through...

And yes... i believe there will be changes.

Pratt might stay a third term... but if he doesnt he will be looking at making changes pretty soon.. and inviting on his own people..cos u cant do that the night before you stand down.

On the other hand if he stays the 2 years as previously expected the changes will begin very soon.

Either way at least one or two directors will begin to 'disappear' pretty soon.

Morning. Absolutely shocking journalism. Wil everything the club does or be invloved in be related back to Judd? Its a an insult to the intelligence suggesting a pokie deal could play any part in him coming to carlton. I hope the club media people gives this idiot a serve.

Synbad, Pratt being not impressed with collapse of deal and the possible changes at Board level related?

Do you guys think Fahour's rumoured promotion to global CEO of the NAB bank could restrict him from serving on the board. I for one would absolutely love to see Fahour on the board, as soon as possible.

Also Fahour would be the perfect replacement as President.

SEN reported the story on their news bulletin this morning along the lines that Carlton's financial situation is back in limbo after the collapse of the hotel deal.

Just as I stated a few days back that in the coming days everyone and his dog will resort to gutter journalism to try and derail the Judd deal. Hopefully that other big sponsorship deal will be announced in the coming days.

Oh come on. His primary employer is the NAB bank, not us. Weren't we also in debt to them? Fact is his financial qualifications dwarf that of most directors/prospective directors. He'd be a huge asset to the board.

Synbad could it be the change of banks was to mae way for Fahour and there be no conflict of interest he being president of a club that owes his bank 6.5 million.

No freaking way can you have both a proper job and be a successful president of an AFL club.

Pratt can do it, because he's the Patriarch of the Visy empire, and has others in senior managerial roles to do the grunt work.

Eddie is a gameshow host - plenty of time to spend down at the filth.

Dicker had already made his millions and was in semi-retirement.

Etc, etc.

It's insanity to think you can be the CEO of a major bank and also devote 20 hours a week to a football club.

A guy like Fahour can keep until he's downshifted. He'll still have all his accumen and contacts and goodwill in the business community, but he might also have TIME.

A Pratt or his son are perfect, because they have no shareholders to answer to... even when you're the CEO of NAB, you're still answerable to others.

Look at how many successful Presidents are self-employed, running their own shows.

What is Matheson coming through with ?

or is best not to discuss it until it is signed, sealed and delivered?

Very disappointed about the hotel deal falling through.

I do all I can - i buy merchandise from the club, i am going to buy a new sherrin from there, I buy dvds etc from the shop, I support the sponsors, i purchase membership etc...

i can't do much more than what I can do, but I would be happy to go to hotels that are owned by Carlton. I like the idea of the club owning some real estate.

Disappointing, when you have guys like Pratt bending over backwards for this club, at great personal expense.

Of course, I've got no idea what he did/didn't do, but just from what I've read, he's always been there to "support" us, but never really came in to help us out with the nitty-gritty. Ah well.
