Now I've always disliked Sheahan's articles because he just puts a lot of puff into it as if he knows what he's talking about and that he thinks he has the inside scoop on everything, but really I believe he has shot himself in the foot this time:

From this article...

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,9191,22522311%255E20322,00.html

Quote:
It was this time last year that Jason Akermanis told Swann he wouldn't go to Carlton, ending up at the Western Bulldogs. Now Judd has picked the Blues as his preferred Victorian club.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but this time last year Swann was in a black and white shirt. So why would Akermanis call Collingwood and tell them he wouldn't go to Carlton? I mean... WTF? Let's just make it up as we go along shall we?

So unless I'm wrong (and if so, i'll be the goose), Sheahan should just hang up the boots and admit his posturing as a journalist is a complete fraud.

Greg Swann said last night that Akermanis told Carlton he wouldn't come to us.

Sheahan's article says he told Greg Swann he wouldn't come.

Swann was at Collingwood, so Aka didn't say it to Swann, he said it to Carlton.

So you're not completely off the mark there Tekno...

Akka said it in a newspaper article up here too. He claimed Fev was the only player we had, and so he wasn't interested

My neck is about average length. Long enough to be severed with a rusty guillotine.

Quite happy that Aker didnt say he wanted to come to the Blues because if he did, there'd be no Judd this year hey!

Cannot stand Mike full stop. Not even a month ago we were - according to him - going to go through a lot more agony and a lot more bottom 3 finishes before we would start clawing our way upwards.

Suddenly he reckons we are looking like some shit hot team (which I already knew  ) with a raft of young gun players and Judd - and next year we will see a big improvement.

Sheehan's stuck the boot into us for a few years now - obviously making good reading for the other 7 opposition teams in Victoria. If that dodgy ass mongrel jumps on the bandwagon now I'm going to shove a whole newspaper down his throat.

Well, not really - but I won't be pleased. :?

from his article:
Quote:
Carlton, the last of the Victorian clubs to win a wooden spoon, has won three in the past six seasons
.

Umm, am I missing something? Didn't the tigers get it this year?

Yes, poorly worded.

He means we were the last of the Victorian clubs to "win" a wooden spoon over the league's history.
