Well Swann and Co will obviously find the best coach available for the role. A lot of people bag Pagan with the Younger players not being played etc. Did Barry do a great job developing our young players? Or was he hampered by Pagan? I thought he should have gone after failing to take Pagan's job, but prior to that, did he have a good wrap? The media seemed to think so. I'm just curious as I've only seen a few bullants games. When compared to say Port Adelaide and Collingwood's development of young players, maybe Swann and Co are trying to make a change to improve this (not a go at Mitchell - maybe a victim of circumstance).

I met Swanny at a function about two months ago, and asked him about Mitchell. He agreed that the situation with Pagan had been absurd, and i asked him whether Pagan leaving meant Mitchell would stay.

He said that we needed to be very careful about becoming too 'Carlton" - we needed ideas from outside the club clique.

I don't think mitchell was ever going to stay.

I'd like to see Peter Dean at Carlton in some kind of coaching role.....but first he's got a Grand Final to win this weekend.

No player loved the Carlton guernsey more than Peter Dean.

Not dissappointed to see Barry "The Knife' Mitchell gone. Wonder what Dennis thinks.

Well given that Dennis was relentlessly undermined by Barry and his cohorts, it would be interesting to some ( and I do not give a stuff if you do or not) to hear Dennis's thoughts. I suspect Dennis would be diplomatic about it, while I think it is a case of "karma'

Yep, I can not wait until Judd plays his first bad game, some on here will not hesitate to trot the old cliches of 'hack' and my favourite 'gawn.'

Pagan manipulated the system and burnt more than his share of people along the journey.
Mitchell wasn't Robinson Crusoe.
Get over it. They're both yesterdays news.

Been over it for quite a while. Yes I quite liked and respected Dennis and always got along with him. Others didn't, fine by me. You and I both know who played the dirty politics and the lenghts some went to, in order to discredit certain people, I would also suggest that some on here 'protest to much.'
