WTF? Why is Bannister in?He did absolutely nothing in the ressies last week. Prendergast dopped and De Luca our only ruckman Vs Jolly, Ball and Goodes. Those ins and outs are screwed.

Gets Wells Soon Nick!

Apparently Stevens in hospital on a drip with dehydration ? result of flu.

If it's the same thing that hit me this week, it starts out like Gastro(hence the dehydration) and turns into a flu like cold.....not a fun one. Doubt he would play if it hit him anywhere near as hard.

Was briefly discussed on Fox League Teams. Their information was that Stevens will deifinitely play, but personally, I'll be pleasantly surprised if he does, might give his knee a breather too.

Get well soon Stevo.

Give him somethinga nd send him out to battle.. we have a very important game to win.
If Stevens thinks sacrificing his brothers wedding for the Wizzer final is all he has to do well he has anothe rthing coming.

We wanna win every game!!!!!!

Stevens get up out of your sickbed and put your jumper on and help us get to 5 1/2 wins.....

Club appears to be trying to play down the hospitalisation as described in Thurs email:

Quote:
There was plenty of excitement at Optus Oval on Thursday afternoon when the media commenced a rumour that Nick Stevens was in hospital and was in doubt for Saturday's game against Sydney. The truth certainly wouldn't make the headlines for the media and most journalists soon realized this was not going to be the big story of the day. As Inside Word readers on Monday found out, Nick played with a heavy cold in last Sunday's game against Adelaide (but still managed to collect 31 possessions). On Wednesday he visited hospital for a short time to be rehydrated for a bout of gastroenteritis, he certainly didn't need to remain in hospital as suggested by some media outlets. As expected, indeed the reason for the hydration, he has improved significantly today and while he didn't train on Thursday evening he will play on Saturday.

Leave it out Camel.

I think Rambo's explanation is far more believable than yours.

Well I got the others wrong...but this was very common knowledge - to the media as well - that Nick felt absolutely crap after the game on Sunday...he was also only in hospital for at most 2 hours...and that was only to be put on a drip. So the media and internet community make a huge first item shock news..."Carlton Denies" making the club out to be fools. This is old news and there was nothing to it. Disgraceful.
