Maybe he'll head the new development team.

Funny thread from dees supporters

Apparently we're only going after Sumich because we're just oh so desperate to get Judd that we'll try anything. Yeah, it's got nothing to do with the fact that he is a @#$%&! good assistant who guided the best midfield in the comp is it

Article in the west this morning saying Sumich is poised to join Carlton and will be informing the Eagles tomorrow or Monday of his intentions. Goes on to say that if Sumich joins the blues this will strengthen our case for Judd.

Also Mitch Morton (older brother of potential top 5 draftee Cale) met with the eagles and requested a trade preferably to Richmond.

Lets hope they've made him a few promises. 8)

Wouldn't mind us having a look at him. Was rated very highly when he was drafted.

I'd say it looks a lot like they have made him a promise.

Why else would he choose the Tiggers.

Cotchin it is then.

On Ch9 news here tonight they said "Sumich has rejected an offer with Carlton and will stay with the Eagles."

wouldnt have a tit of an idea what he's like as a coach...but i thought he was a damn fine player in his time...could offer some nice experience to the young midfielders and defenders as he was a good one in his time

I'm not sure why we are even discussing Sumich coming to Carlton as the Hun mentioned in last week's article about our $3m profit the following.....

Also, the Blues are unlikely to entertain West Coast assistant Peter Sumich for its final assistant coaching role.

I think it was more Sumich inflating his chances of moving, not to mention the 'demand' for his services than our real interest in him.

damn shame we didn't get Suma to the club...just concerned we are targetting players to join our coaching team that have had limited on field success (eg Leon Cameron).

Would like to have players that have tasted premiership success - they can provide the committment and mentoring to our youngsters in terms of what it takes to reach and achieve ultimate success.
