Why has it taken this long??
At the end of last season 2006 we should have offered him up for trade but unfortunately with Denis Pagan and Sticks Kernahan around that was never going to happen.
We just have to pray that the legacy of Pagan tenure at the club doesn't last too long.

these 2 men are blamed for hindsight WAY too much...ok lets say they traded lance at the end of last year. A best and fairest winner, and in many ways unlucky not to have been All Australian after a superb year...The blues trade him, imagine the backlash from the hundreds of carlton 'fans' who dont have a good word to say about the club!

I suppose the "hundreds" of fans far outweigh the "thousands"

Very good friend of mine spoke 2 Lance at the brownlow after party and asked him what's going on with his contract. He told him the club has not offered him a contract as yet, said that he was willing 2 sign any sort of contract. Also said that he got his scans back and the surgeon said his knee will not affect him and is not degenarative

Fantastic news on the knee. We should be able to trade him now.

It's not the knee that will effect him, it is the extra weight putting the pressure on the knee.

here here....he's a phenomenal player, and he's owed a bit more respect for his efforts at the club than he's getting....even people bagging his mrs at the brownlow is a disgrace, we're CARLTON fans...not the tigers who spit on their own.

If he is signed up he should only be signed for a year on minimum wage and only play in our forward 50 arch as an ultra backup. Meaning fev, waite, fisher, Harts, setanta and any other KPF are above him in the pecking order. Never want to see this guy playing defence or any other position again

I would guess that if we have to trade JK for Judd, then the club would be more likely to try and eke another season or two out of Lance up forward.

Really don't see a place in the side for both JK and Lance (or Lance at all, quite frankly)

Lance has had 3 ? 4 ? 5? opportunities to get his body right.

The time for being sentimental with the past is over. Geelong/ Port/ Eagles and other professional teams would never have put up with his antics.

We deserve all we get if we keep Lance. We are a bunch of amateurs.
P.S I won't be buying membership next year if Lance is there.
I have had enough of amateur hour.

nice to see you stick by the club through thick and thin

people forget that in round 21 he gathered about 15 or 17touches, looked a little uneasy but after 12weeks out i cant blame him either, and in round 22 he had 9 shots on goal..sure his kicking was astray, but had he kicked 4 or 5 which was VERY possible had we been taking the game seriously, then he would have been the success story of the year with many carlton fans. The guy DOES still have something to offer i think

If the decision was made on Mitchell, then Lance should be an easy decision to make.

do you seriously watch the game???
In that round 21 game instead of manning up his opponent Drew Petrie who smashed us in that first quarter Whitnall was busy chasing easy kicks!!
