I dont know how they got in, but from previous attacks on sites, I believe they use programs that find the password by the grunt method.

I always reckoned it would be a good idea if we didnt use our user names
as our log in user names.
This would add an extra level of difficulty for any of these mongrels.
This is probably more important for Admin members.

thanks tcblue,

they actually got into the ftp privileges of the server account rather than the Blueseum software itself (many of my sites were efffected). It was the account with the 'weakest' password. That has been fixed now.

... and yes from the evidence I have seen it was a grunt attack.

The Blueseum has been contacted by the Chairman of the North Adelaide Football Club.

They have a very active historical component to their club and they are currently looking for a video copy of the 1972 Championship of Australia game between the Roosters and Carlton where the Roosters won by one point.
http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-index. ... +Australia

The match was filmed by Winfield and later shown on Ch 9 in Adelaide.

If anyone has a copy please contact the Chairman of NAFC, Barry Dolman on 0422 001 853.

They shouldn't want a copy of that game - they should get a marble bust of Mal Brown and put it in their trophy cabinet - as he won them that game.

You will be pleasantly surprised to know that in the email I got from the chairman of the NAFC he actually mentioned Mal Brown and his 'influence' on the game.

I have changed the main menu on the left hand side of the page so that hopefully it is easier to navigate the site.

Please let me know what you think.

This picture of Carlton's long-time snipper, Ernesto Angerame, is among the gems recently turned up by Blues' history custodian Tony de Bolfo. It shows Angerame giving 1960s defender John Benetti a trim before a game, while his cousin, Serge Silvagni, holds the mirror.

Feel free to link to the Bluetube page, but we cannot have any match footage directly embedded in the Blueseum yet, I'm too scared of copyright issues.

Fair bit of news to report.

1. The articles are coming thick and fast (the Blueseum just notched up its 40th article!).

The two new ones are:
60th Anniversary of historic Brownlow Medal count

Clen Denning's Unique Record

2. The Blueseum has just notched up its 2000th picture in the picture gallery!

3. Despatch from the Blueseum troops is that the Rosstown Hotel on the corner of Koornang and Dandenong Roads in Carnegie, Melbourne has a photo of the 1925 team hanging on their wall. If any brave soul could venture down to this pub and get a good quality, high resolution photo of this picture and send it to the Blueseum that would be great. :-D

No worries. Let me know the page name when you create it and I'll add it to the menu.

Might be good to put a link to the Blueseum disclaimer at the end of the page as well.
