No idea, but back row, 7th from the left, dead spit for Dean Rice.

And who is the secret agent in the background?

Three to the left of picture from the bloke Deano has circled. Seated to the right of the dude in the suit, presumably the coach.

Face looks about right, but the body looks a bit too big.

Interesting to see that pic of king Dick.

I didnt realise he had played for the Blues, and was a good footballer.

Found this on the Blueseum.

Thta is a fairly impressive record. Wonder why he didnt go on further.

There have recently been discussions about the future of the Blueseum amongst a few of us.

It looks like the idea of the club taking ownership of the site is not going to happen for one main reason. Despite many attempts the club has never risen above luke warm with respect to the possibility.

As the creator of the site and the person who initially pushed to have the ownership switched I have been advised by more than one person that it would not a good idea.

So I have started to waver in my thoughts on the matter in the last few months and have been sounding out various people to get advice.

It is a bit of a quandary, stuck between a couple of options.

If an ownership switch ever took place it would have some benefits in terms of the site generating revenue for the club directly and possibilities with respect to new content. However, the down side is possible loss of editorial control and putting at risk the content and countless hours of work of dozens of people.

Personally my biggest concern is my own personal liability with the site, while others can add content I will be the one who faces the courtroom if anything illegal ever happens on the site.

The other option that is being considered is that the site be transformed into a not for profit organisation that can raise funds either for the club or charities.

This might involve more formal membership, committees, all that jazz.

I have been reading up on the formation of clubs/associations/community groups and I have to admit the information available online is a bit too vague for my liking.

If there is anyone out there with experience in this area I would love to hear from you. Also, would really value feedback from TC'ers in general with regards the information above.

Of course the other option is always the status quo.

Good time to raise these issues now that we have the off-season to work with.

I only ever donated my time to the Carlton Football Club. Working on the Blueseum was for the Club and not for any other purpose. I don't want to pursue any course of action other than one which would ultimately see this in the hands of the Carlton Football Club, for without that I think I'd have wasted a horrendous amount of time.

I'd much rather have the same meeting with the Club 100 more times about 'when is this going to happen' than create some new structure around the site. To me, it's not my business enterprise, it's the history of the Club. It's theirs.

I am sure we could come up with a solution for your liability issues. I'll have a chat to the 'main supporter' and see if there is any movement.

Interested in the views of other contributors.

Would be good if there was some movement, my preference all along has been for club ownership. :)

The delays have just made me contemplate other options.

There are some serious server issues happening at the moment so the Blueseum might not be available for a little while.

Things do not look good, I'm hoping that the server has not been compromised but it looks like a serious hack has been successful.

I'll keep you updated, in the meantime try to avoid the site.

Hopefully it is something minor.

Thanks Mrs C.

flower hackers shit me

Just spent a few hours deleting malicious code from pages on the server. Pain in the arse.

Luckily it looks like it was a low level intrusion. I have the server well secured so happy to see it has stood up.
