What he said!

Ando Jamo Thornton
Scotland Santa Walks

Scotto and Walks changing with Simmo and Bower depending on match ups

Which is why he should be traded for an established defender if possible. He's been scarred and has become a whinger and finger pointer. Hard to come back from an injury like that.

Thornton needs to earn his spot, i think he got carried away too much, thinking that he will automatically be selected in the starting 18 every week.
Look at Jamo and Jackson, they are not regulars but I think they cherish their senior level selection opportunity and that's why they were very keen to prove themselves, and they were very good!

take it easy on Thornton. He has been injured and the Pagan game plan meant that on the rebound, there is not much assistance coming back the other way. Can't blame Thornton for the big scores we gave away. Afterall, it was dictated by the game plan.

Thornton has had a disappointing year, but then again he has been injured. If he was playing under Ratten, he would have had more possessions and everyone would been happy.

attitude, yes, not very good. but it shows passion.

How many games have we won since Thornton last played?

Not much more than we have since he joined the club.

The problem with Thornton is his attitude. I notice many are quick to jump all over Fev for his attitude ( and fair enough) but IMO Thornton's attitude has been much worse for a longer period of time. For mine he is trade bait for another established defender if possible.

He is by far the biggest sprayer of team mates on the field at Carlton. And the worse part he has got Walker to start doing it too - to a lesser extent. Just watch any reply and see if it's ever his fault... very quick to turn around. its a disappointing part of his game.

Oh come on mate. This has got to be one of the silliest comments that I've read on this site.

Brett Thornton makes Andy Walker to spray his team mates.

Interesting. Wonder why others on this site don't apply the same logic to Fev. For me both their attitudes are crap but Fev at least gives us goals and opportunities to win games. Thornton gives us attitude..period. If any established player at the club was to be put up as trade bait it would have to be Thornton IMO. Reason is we may be able to get something of value and at the same time we'd be losing very little.

If Fev played Thornton's position on the field for 4 weeks, he would have given up football years ago. Think about what Thornton has had to deal with in his short career. If he was playing a cushy position up in the forward and acted like a baby I'd be saying the same thing about him, but he doesn't. He plays in the worst position on the field, where he gets goals kicked on him (very demoralising wouldnt you say) and much of the time its his teammates faults. When the team starts improving and if doesn't stop the dummy spits, then I'll be very critical. Until then, he's our best defender and he is important to our team.

Why don't we just get rid of Fevola,Thornton,Scotland,Houilhan and Walker then we can win a hat trick of spoons, lol, but wait we can get 3 number 1 picks.

It be great seeing all these number 1 picks on the field all smiling and patting each other on the bum after a goal while we still 15 goals down, lol.

There's your answer to the "who to keep / who to drop" post - Lance and Billy-bob T-bird .. but who would take Lance at this stage? (Probably the Swines .. they took Spida when the Dawks didn't want him)
