Great stuff Carrazz a worthy winner. There will be no best and fairest curse for Andrew.
Also great years by Houla and Scotland both deserved to finish as high as they did. Houla was probably unlucky not to finish 3rd.
How the crack did Lance Whitnall get 16 votes?? I'm convinced we still have some dummies left in high places at the carlton footy club.
Any proper club by now would have retired him.

Well done Carrots on a great year, thoroughly deserved and good to see someone improve so much in such a short time. I can see Carrots winning another one or two over his time at the blues and show the young kids how it's done. :-D (pretty funny considering he is only 23 himself!!!)

Despite all the bagging he gets, Scotto was definately a worthy runner-up, and I think coming so close could be a good thing for him; it might spur him on a bit more next year.

Jarrad showed he can be in the elite group this year, a little more consitancy and he will be in for a good show in 2008.

Well done to all the other guys, (except Ackland!!!) a little disappointed that Fish, Simmo and Tex didn't poll better, but there's always next year!!

I find it amazing that our ruck "solution" could not poll one vote this year. PATHETIC.

Oh, in his speech, Mr Pratt mentioned that the club will be looking to introduce some more experience into the playing list over the off season. 8) :-D

Ratten did a presentation about what he wants for nex year.

Was really happy to hear him mention that he will be putting the acid on 3rd 4th and 5th year players to provide the improvement needed in the team to climb the ladder next year.

Mr Pratt also mentioned that the players could expect the mother of all end of season trips if they make the eight next year. :-D

No Murphy in the top 10. Ordinary year.

First player targeted on our list every week - will be better next year for it.

Murphy come 9th last year and only played 13 games I think before he got injured. If he had of played all 22 games last year he would came at least 4th in his first year.

The opposition rated Murphy more than Carrazzo this year as Murph was tagged heavily week in week out while Carrazzo racked up the possessions unguarded most games.

But, he will learn from that.

The top ten in 2006: (only four voting cards per game)
1st Lance Whitnall 174
2nd Brendan Fevola 164
3rd Heath Scotland 146
4th Kade Simpson 105
5th Nick Stevens 93
6th Andrew Walker 91
7th Bret Thornton 90
8th Matthew Lappin 84
9th Marc Murphy 82
10th Anthony Koutoufides 57

By the way, congrats Carrazzo...

Definitely.

I'm surprised Simmo ended up so far down the list, points-wise.

Worthy winner

Scotland played some good footy and some not so good. Simpson was probably more consistent. Surprised about the gulf in points between them.

Good result for Houlihan. I am sure he has been given jobs by the coaching panel and has fulfilled what was expected without starring. Doesn't deserve the treatment he gets from Carlton fans.

Setanta 23rd?

Seems a bit harsh considering the scale of the jobs he was given and the performances of some of those above him.

Congrats to Carrots - good to have a worthy winner at last.

You have come so far after being overlooked for the draft -still remember you training at Carlton before being rookied by Geelong -great effort great perserverance and a true Carlton man -if he becomes the inspiration for our young guys -then we will go far
As for the guy bagging Murphy get serious :? - he has played about 30 games and only 20 - lets see when he is 23 -lets be patient and support not denigrate our young players -were waite or sompson or fisher starring at 20 -was fevola - kouta wasnt starring at 20 either

Bentick polled very well. SURELY this is proof that he has a place on our list.

Surprised how low Murph was on the list. Sure, his stats weren't great after he became headhunted by all the league's taggers, but I would've thought his efforts would deserve more.

Great result for Carrots, and, as others have mentioned - Houlihan.

A stiniging rebuke for Ackland - 0 votes and he played 20/21 games... That's appalling for a supposed no.1 ruck.
