Good Friday is the most boring day of the year.

Lets go for it - those of you that are religious don't have to go to the game, I believe that movies are open on GF and so is the casino - why should the footy be any different? Bundle it with fundraising and let the tradition begin.

I think there would definitely be a strong link between the game and the GF appeal, so there would definitely be some good to come out of it for everyone.

History says that teams who jump on board and grab these specific dates in league calndars (Anzac day here, Thanksgiving games in Detoit & Dallas in the NFL) reap the rewards down the track.

Some may have a moral problem and not attend. Of those who can't (or won't) attend, who wouldn't tune in to the TV for a live broadcast at 5.10pm, after the day has been spent with the family?

That's the big plus - not the gate, but the TV audience. It would be one of the highest rating games on the calendar, if for no other reason than for a large and increasing % of the population, Good Friday is a boring day with little to do. Sponsorship-wise it's a massive coup for the club if it comes off. I'm all for it.

I would like to see the game raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital.

Some local leagues play games on Good Friday and enjoy larger crowds than normal.
