one of the best is arj barker though..

Yep - I'll happily go along with all three of those but Kitson's a fave.

I saw his "It's the Fireworks Talking" show at the last festival (for which he won the Barry) and walked out thinking that the world was actually an amazingly good and interesting place. Floated along for about a week after that.

I don't know if he's funny or not, I can never hear his jokes over his own laughter.

Anyway he's in his prime now, when he's a washed up hack we'll trade him to Essendon*

Ive seen Pete Hellier live and he was one of the best stand up comedians Ive seen
Hima nd Carl Barron rank way up there- and he was far superior to Hughesy and slightly better than Will Anderson.

Strauchanies great and popular and will do no harm to our marketing department either..
some people on here are far too precious

I'm not going to argue if he's funny or not - that's too subjective to touch.

But Strauchanie is a clown. The whole shtick is how useless he is. We and Hellier are laughing at the pitiful loser*. That might be a valid part of the Collingwood brand, but not Carlton.

(* Well, those who think it's funny are laughing)

Making our club or a (phony) Carlton player into a pathetic joke is not what I'm about and is not what this club should be about. We don't need publicity that badly. We are The Old Dark Navy Blues, not Dannii Miinogue.

I'm proud of my club and I hate to see it debased like this.
If that makes me precious, you can cut the corners off my head, put me on a gold ring and give me to your missus.

I don't mind Strauchnie as a recruit...

The two local primary schools had a Dad's footy game a few weeks back. One of the Dad's wore a Strauchnie wig for the match. Every time he got near the ball the kids from both schools went nuts and were yelling out

Quote:
Strauchnie
.

I think he will bring quite a bit of good publicity for the club. He tends to take the piss out of himself rather the club.

He was very funny on SEN this arvo; saying how he followed the Doggies as a kid; but got drafted by Collingwood and had to make the best of it.
