Perhaps I'm missing something.

Letting a talentless, unfunny, fat, flower disgrace the Navy Blue we all love is good why?

Some friends of mine know Peter Helliar quite well and invited me along to see his standup. They reckon he's one of the nicest blokes you'd ever meet. I declined with a similar response to bluetongue.

I've got a mate who's a plumber - lovely bloke but don't really want to watch him work either.

I think you're all taking it a bit seriously.

Anyway he's in his prime now, when he's a washed up hack we'll trade him to Essendon*

A bit of publity never hurt. I find Straughnie funny.

Cant please everyone. I cant see it being a bad thing didn't hurt Collingwood.

If it wasn't for Straughnie the Teddy Whitten game would of been boaring

Ive seen Pete Hellier live and he was one of the best stand up comedians Ive seen
Hima nd Carl Barron rank way up there- and he was far superior to Hughesy and slightly better than Will Anderson.

Strauchanies great and popular and will do no harm to our marketing department either..
some people on here are far too precious

If we want a stand-up guy, we could do worse than getting one of our own back.

Beauty, someone to replace Fev on the Footy Show.

A marketing plus I reckon. The little people just want to see the jumper, not the dill that's inside it!
