Loved this piece, Dannyboy.

I think this is arguably the best of this year. The importance of family, footy club and remembering the good times all come together beautifully.

Well done.

There were a lot of elements I liked about this article. It was nice to think back to a time when each club had a different ground. I liked your description of how going to each ground differed.


I remember standing at the Junction Oval one day - and it wasn't a Carlton match - but the feel of that oval was so different to my experiences of other matches. It was part of the experience that stays with you forever, going to different grounds.
