Thanks for the great memories Skinny.

Always represented the club in style and will defintely be missed.

Loved watching you play and how you always put your body on the line. Your game against the Dogs earlier this year was typical of how you played the game.

Enjoy the next stage of your life, well done & thanks.

My favourite memories are:

1) 2001, as a small forward - exciting times.

2) rebound from defence, filled the hole Andrew McKay left.

thanks for the memories Matty.

Good day for ex-Aints players, with Darryl Wakelin calling it quits too.

Good trading decisions huh?

That's bloody sad. I was all for him playing one more year. He has really been a great player for the Carlton Footy Club. Didn't really have any success with us, but still stuck with us.

All the best for your future mate. Hopefully it involves the Carlton Football Club! :-D

YOU ARE A CHAMPION, SKINNY!

Thanks for the memories Skinny. Reliable shot at goal and could take a mark too.

skinny was a gun. defies logic, doesnt look like a footballers arsehole, and looks more like a wet rat at times

but boy did i enjoy watching him play all these years.

another champ bites the dust :(

hope he and alot of our players remain around the club in some sort of fashion but all the best skinny in what ever life brings you in the future.

Thanks for the all great goals and marks Matty. :-D

I'm happy to say he proved me wrong.

I wasn't too happy we recruited Lappin because of his rep and our poor trading record.

Robbed of two AA guernseys.

Good point CK - he always seemed to save his best for the Bummers.

Certainly will retire as a Carlton great. Didnt look like he was enjoying himself much the last 2 years. Made the right decision.

Thanks Rabbit

Yup, echo the sentiments here.

IMO he was the best and most consisent CFC player in the early dark years, 2002 -- 2005.

Seems like a great person too, always appreciate hearing him in interviews as you know that he'll play a straight bat and not dance around any questions.

Was hoping that he'd continue next year . . .

All the best Matty

That's a real shame. A great player for the Blues and will be sadly missed.
Throws up the challenge for the next group to fill his (metaphorically) large shoes.

Good luck, champ!!

Skinny, thanks for giving your all every time you donned the Navy Blue.

We couldn't ask more of you and what you gave.

You deserved to go out as a Premiership player.
