We want Fev!!!..... and of course if there is an offer too good to refuse he is traded!
Im a Fev lover - and hated the way we were puuting him out there!
As things stand right now... give us something unbelievable or stop wasting our time....

I expect Fev to stay and id be rapt if he does... but having said that.. if something massive comes our way... well youd be happy too...but massive doesnt not mean banana picks because we were pushing him out the door,,,

Something massive = what??

If you think we're gonna get Judd ... or Griffen/Cooney and a high pick, you're the one who's bananas. You're overvaluing Fev by listening to your heart. Listen to your head and it might get you out of the clouds and into reality. Fev is worth a couple of top 10 picks (say pick 5 and pick 8), or a top 10 pick and a very good player ... and not much more.

Yes but to us he is worth more.......and you cant get picks 5 and 8.....clubs cant get their hands on both of them...... and thats where you dont get it...

So Fev stays... unless we get something fantastic..... believe me...

It's like everyone on this site has slept through trade week the last few years. Nothing big gets done!

North have handed Hawthorn some first rounders over the last couple of years.

Last year, Freo gave Collingwood a first rounder for a player who is worst than Fev.

Things do happen in trade week!

Are you comparing Tarrant and Thompson who were struggling and really 2nd rate to one of the comp's best? Your hatred knows no bounds comparing Fev with those situations.

I'm not worked up I find it hilarious when the Fev haters pop out every now and then and make fools of themselves. It is a sad reflection on our supporter base though. Reading on here and at CSC our champions the last few years getting canned from all corners. Fev, STevens, Whitnall, Campo, Thornton, even the great Kouta has copped a caning. I hear the term 'acting like Richmond supporters' get thrown around a lot here, well newsflash the last few years has seen our fans sink to far lower depths than Richmond ever will.

Gotta agree with that TG.But the Tiges aint so bad.I see you are 28 which so you wouldnt have experienced "The Animal Cage" down at Moorrabin.Down there the Saints supporters not only belted the living suitcases out of opposition supporters, but used to rumble madly amongst themseves.Friend or foe, everyone was a target.Witnessed many a blue down there.Rather enjoyable watching a Saint supporter belting the living daylights out of a fellow Saints supporter.Trust me TG,there was nothing to match the ferals who inhabited "The Animal Cage".

how did Lance and Campo get champion status???

magine showing a photo of those 2 to someone in another country and telling them "These two are champions"

Campo would have been a champion if he could manage to be an effective footballer without Brown Williams Ratten Braddley....but he coudnt do it... when they retired he was a castrated footballer.

Lance... a champion???....................................

Just call them servants...

Examples or recent champions of the club...
Jesauenko..
Nicholls..
Walls...
Silvagni..
Williams...
Johnno
Hunter
Kouta
Kernahan
Doull
Mckay
McKay
Ratten
Braddley

Theyre champions..!!!...... Lance and Campo???

I dont fully disagree Synbad but in Lances Defense he was leading goal kicker 3 Yrs in a row (98,99,00 I believe), B&F 06 and made AA in 2000. The guy maybe isnt a champion but you make it sound like he did nothing for the club but he has been a loyal player and didnt leave when things looked grim. Campo on the other hand couldnt agree more.

I don't see how he is worth more to us than to a premiership contender. His value to us is helping us rise off the bottom and move up the ladder - btw according to you he is responsible for us winning a number of "meaningless" games in 2004. But to other, more advanced teams he is probably the difference between a final 4 finish and a premiership. Hence he is more valuable to other teams than us. And if a team is serious, two top 10 picks is not impossible. It is realistic. For example, the Dogs could give us their first round pick (pick 5) and trade a player for another pick - say Gia or Higgins for pick 9. Its doable, you just don't want to believe it. Or you don't get it.

I'm not a Fev hater or a pro-trade person. I love Fev the footballer. He is a champion and a real talent. But he is a sook and a loose cannon. So any trade scenarios brought to us should be seriously considered.

Seeing as though Higgins was a pick 11 and is already a year in the AFL system, pick 9 is not out of the question. Gia was a pick 32 but has been in the system for a number of years and is a very good player. They were two examples. You could easily find other examples, such as Harris, McMahon, etc. The dogs have a number of running mids but no forwards, so will be willing to off load a mid and a pick for a gun forward.

You just need to open up your mind a little. It appears you're in denial

Do I have to spoon feed you everything. Maybe its R Murphy and pick 5 for Fev, or Harris and pick 5 for Fev... The point is that the dogs will throw some serious offers out and we would be irresponsible not to consider them and assess them against our current list and our future TEAM development. It's called list management and that's why we have Ike. You never know, losing Fev might be the perfect opportunity for someone else to step up in his place - like a Kennedy or a Kreuzer. People think no Fev, no Carlton. I don't agree. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Sure he is a super star and awesome to watch at full flight, but its not as simple as that. Sometimes you take a step backwards to take two forwards. And trading Fev MIGHT be one of those times. Fact is, Carlton will field offers around trade time. He is likely to stay a blue (which my heart will be very happy with), but my head may disagree.

Hypothetically, if we don't get the priority pick, does that increase or decrease the chance of Fev being traded? I would have thought the former.

Thoughts?

We will 'win' the priority pick....ecause our motivation and incentive is greater.
We will win the priority pick because we will be an absolute laughing stock if we dont.

Fev wouldnt go to the Dogs.
The good clubs cant fit him in their salary cap...
Its hard for a club to get that perfect trade happening ..

Pick 5 and Giansiracusa is not eough
Pick 5 does not make Giansiracusa a desirable footballer for the CFC..

Or a Farren Ray....

Maybe pick 5 and their ruckman... but they wouldnt do that!
