If they couldn't satisfy our requirements directly then they could try and orchastrate a 3-4-5 way trade. As long as they're prepared to pay above the odds, we'll all be happy.

Good call dom. No decisions should be swayed by one or two performances, particularly at this time of the year when the club is obviously tanking.

I've always said that I love Fev. My heart tells me to keep him, but my head tells me to trade him (with the right deal). I think two top 10 picks and a good player is fair compensation. McMahon will be offered up for sure. Or a top 5 pick and a top player. Pick 5 and Higgins.

Always get mixed up between Harris and Higgins. Harris is the one I'm thinking of I think. Eventhough he was a really late draft pick, he's turned out pretty good. Higgins was pick 11 or something I think

There isn't any, that club isn't in the 8,some predicted they were a premiership chance, the last 2 years, but seem to be a bit like the Dockers always close to the 8 or just in it.

Fevola only traded to a gun, usually in a team that is a top 4 like the Eagles not for one pick in the first round from a team that finish just out of the 8 and a Ok Player, you still need goals kicked.

I think we can thank Kernahan for that call.

Historically, the decision as to the Captain has been the Coach's call and it was no different this year. The Board backed the coach's decision.

'As you do' I suppose but... :?

Ratts is doing it the right way though isnt he?
We want Fev!!!..... and of course if there is an offer too good to refuse he is traded!
Im a Fev lover - and hated the way we were puuting him out there!
As things stand right now... give us something unbelievable or stop wasting our time....

I expect Fev to stay and id be rapt if he does... but having said that.. if something massive comes our way... well youd be happy too...but massive doesnt not mean banana picks because we were pushing him out the door,,,

If the Dogs want Fevola, I'd want nothing less than Griffen and a 3rd round pick. The 3rd round pick is negotiable, I'd even do a Griffen/Fevola straight swap.

For those of you who think that this trade is lopsided in their favour think about the fact that Fev is 27 going on 28 next season and Griffen is going to be 20-21. Is Griffen going to do the dummy spits like Fev does? Nope, haven't seen them.

This is it in a nutshell. Smart by-play by Ratts. Whatever happens it guarantees a good result for the CFC. Either Fev stays or we get an irrefusable deal out of it. Either of the two is fine with me but nothing less.

Daniel Kerr or nothing.

yeah, what we need to do is a trade with Fremantle.

For example, they could offer us two duds/and or untried rookies like Benet Copping and Luke Webster. Only hassle is they don't have a b-grade ruckman they could throw in as well.

We all know carlton can't do a trade unless it involves getting a B/and or C grade ruckman thrown into the mix.

Warren is a part time ruckman at Freo. and he is under 200 cms, and he has had injuries to boot. Perfect.

Three player trade for Fev. See, it is easy doing trades at Carlton. We all know the track record is so impressive

Daniel Kerr or nothing.

Daniel Kerr???? That's the way, trade one bad egg for a worse egg. The whole point of trading Fev is to improve the character of the club, not destroy it.

If you guys are talking about Brian Harris at the dogs, forget it. The Dog's problems down back are nearly as bad as ours, they aren't going to give him away.

McMahon, Gia etc is what they would be offering, along with their 1st. They've got plenty of those types.

Something massive = what??

If you think we're gonna get Judd ... or Griffen/Cooney and a high pick, you're the one who's bananas. You're overvaluing Fev by listening to your heart. Listen to your head and it might get you out of the clouds and into reality. Fev is worth a couple of top 10 picks (say pick 5 and pick 8), or a top 10 pick and a very good player ... and not much more.

You may aswel stop arguing about what we're gonna get for Fev cos he isnt going anywhere. Ratten isnt stupid...he wont give away an 80+ a yr goal kicker for a few top 10 picks, the last thing we need is more young players. The only way Fev will get traded is for another experienced star FF and none are out of contract.

I just hope those who over-rate Fev on this site, think like our opposition.

We could land Kerr and Judd if that is the case.

Fev has a long way to go to be a champion. He doesn't give a toss about his team mates. Gives up too easily. He is not the guy you want to be playing in a Grand Final because when you are losing and things are not going right for him he will not have the mental strength to get over it. He is too easily rattled and distracted.

Yes but to us he is worth more.......and you cant get picks 5 and 8.....clubs cant get their hands on both of them...... and thats where you dont get it...

So Fev stays... unless we get something fantastic..... believe me...

Pick 5, another round 1 pick and Cooney would satisfy, else don't bother. 8)

Will swap Whitnall (KP) for Cooney (midfielder) however if they want.
That would satisfy both clubs. :P
