great result for the club tonight... $110,000 thousand guaranteed for the club, hopefully more members/sponsors get on board.

thats 6 wins from our past 7 matches which also is a good positive for the club.

Great win by the boys. Only a handful of F50 entried in the 2nd Qtr was a worry, the fact we scored on every one of them is a positive.

Fevola was awesome, he and Lappin lead the way with contested possessions with 12 and 11 late in the 4th Qtr. Thats amazing from your Full-Forward and skinniest player. David Teague leaving Bandy and running back in front of a pack to mark in front of Darcy and Thornton...Darcy paid a free for holding though, but the COURAGE!!!!

Hopefully this will be a huge boost for membership sales. If you buy your ticket this year I think value for money will be more than guaranteed.

Yep, Fev was great but seriously how did he miss that absolute sitter at the start of the game. Oh well he did redeem himself with 6 goals. thought Lappin was BOG.

As far as I'm concerned, memberdhip is always good value for money. [warm feeling inside][/warm feeling]

I was very impressed with Livo tonight. He doesn't get a lot of possesions but he can really shut down a player. Hopefully he can carry his form in to the real stuff.

Great win by you blokes, we were totally outclassed and outcoached.

Without dwelling on our downfalls on a Carlton board, but the Dogs played the same footy they did under Rohde.

Fevola killed Harris tonight, and the thing was is the delivery from your midfield is so good, Brian had no chance to get Fevola.

I know you guys are happy with Walker, but geez Cooney is a player, and Williams didn't look bad.

North will be absolutely spitting chips they gave up Morrell and Teague after the form they have been in.

Anyway, hats off to you blokes and lets hope you guys kill the eagles to save me to get an earbashing from all their supporters over here in Perth.

Thanks AC - nice to see some good sports among the opposition.

I thought you guys really missed Smith - he really presents a steadying influnce through the middle and there was no such presence for you guys tonight. Johnson and Darcy both seemed wasted up forward, but then who was going to kick your goals otherwise?

Tonight was my first really good look at Cooney and I was impressed. He's bloody quick and quite skilfull. He probably needs to toughen up a bit in the packs, but he's still just a kid yet...

Wow!

That first quarter was sensational. I can't get over how well the boys are playing for each other. It;s not quite there yet, but the signs are good. We'll be operating like a fine Swiss watch very soon our movement is that precise.

Great effort by the lads and one I'm glad to have caught early in the piece.

I LOVE DENIS!!!

Respect.

Chin up, it took Denis a year or two to rid the side of its bad habits. Get the infrastructure right and you blokes will be fine. There might be some more pain along the way though, but you'll get there.

Any word on Johnno? Would be a tragedy to lose him.

Well said. I felt for the Doggies last night, they couldn't buy a trick! It's hard to watch when every lucky thing runs for the opposition. Shit it's happened to us enough in the last few years.

That was the first time I've really watched Cooney play. He is going to be a very good player, but like Walker, the flashes of brilliance are somtimes undone with poor disposal. Which they should both grow out of, as I think it is a concentration thing rather than any lack of ability..

The replay's on again now :D

Bulldogs are in my top 5 hated sides thanks to my locality, it's always sweet to watch it.

Did the first quarter of last night remind anyone else of 2002 game against them at the same venue?

Wow, that was a seriously impressive effort by Carlton. Pagan, just like he did at North, has Carlton firing out of the blocks very early in the season. Very impressed with the forward set-up of Carlton. The Backline also held up very well, although it was greatly assisted by our use of indiscriminant and haphazard delivery into our forward 50. To be outscored in the 2nd quarter after having 17 inside 50's to 6 is a disgrace. Carlton also had plenty of run and support through the midfield, and they were excellent at running back to assist the defence. I guess Grant Thomas thought you guys played ugly football this week

Goes to show that the Dogs have a lot of work to do before shaking off all those bad habits acquired under Wallet and Rohde. That train wreck of a match on Saturday night reminded me of the last 2 years of passive, indecisive, uncontested football that we specialised in under Rohde. Better to get this out the way in pre-season. I hope Eade tore shreads through the side after the match.

Good luck next week. Would be good to see those Weagles pegged down a notch or two.

Sedat, you're just the type of reasonable supporter that thwarts my efforts to really hate all the other Melbourne teams.

Doggies had a bad night, thought Cooney showed a fair bit but his disposal is really ordinary. No. 42 showed a bit too (Hargrave?) and Williams was promising, big strong quick, very gutsy pick at #6 but may pay dividends a few years down the track. Rawlings is a real disappointment, remember him a few years back dominating at CHB against Carlton.

42 is Boyd, the guy who used to look like a roughnut wookie.
