So no smoked salmon?

I have created a page on the Blueseum as a permanent memory of the night.
http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-index. ... estimonial

Please add to this page what happened, who spoke, what they said, your memories, pictures from the night, whatever.

If you are too lazy to get onto the Blueseum to do it yourself, I'm sure some kind souls will transfer the information from the thread the Blueseum. :P

Glad to hear that Lloyd was not asked to attend to speak for Kouta as I'm sure he would have flowered that up as he did on TFS.

A few observations from the night:

Interesting how Pagans name was just not mentioned all night, even when the talk was about the coaching of Kouta - Britts, Parko and Mitch on stage…..

Hird, Bucks and Richo were great and it was good that the crowd gave them a warm and friendly welcome. It just shows what a champ Kouta is that these guys are happy to spend their Sunday night in the midst of Carlton people (I can not imagine to have to sit through a function for 4 hours at the Bummers or the Pies).

The highlight stuff was really good – but the family stuff with material about Kouta’s youth, Susie and the Kids was the best. Highlight was a taped rendition of the club song by Kouta’s son (filmed by Susie and without Kouta’s knowledge).

Ms Caz is a softy – when I walked over just after the family highlights were finished, she was still wiping the tears…..

Kouta’s mum was a classic – said something about Kouta being a “mistakeâ€

Thanks for the posts. Nice to see the three players from other clubs came along. I reckon Hirdy could get that as well as he is an ornament to the sport. I am genuinely surprised that Bucks would go to anything that didn't earn him some personal kudos. Good on him for doing so and for saying good stuff. He has gone up in my estimation I am sure that will please him no end . Richo is a good player but not in the class of the other two. Well done to him as well.
As for the rest, Tommi couldn't look more different in real life from what he portrays as his 'image' on TC. Captain Hook sits well with his face.
If they put together a highlights tape of Kouta it will be a big seller. The 99 PF could occupy about 30 mins alone. It is truly sad that a freak accident cost him and us the best of his career. He would have been a brownlow winner for sure and maybe we would have had #17 in the cabinet if he had played that finals series out.
Aaah, well. Thanks Kouta and don't be a stranger around the club. We need you and the other past greats as we start the long climb back to glory.

Unfortunately my daughter's Presentation Ball on the Saturday and son's involvment with junior football finals on Sunday precluded "The Agro's" attendance.

However we were there in spirit.

Kouta leaves the club at a particularly low point in its existence - however I am sure that he knows that he now leaves it in good hands for the future.

Zite Kouta, Zite Carlton Football Club.
