I don't dispute any of that for a second. Yes, we need early draft picks to build our team, of course, and if this Kreuzer bloke ends up coming here I'll be the first to welcome him with open arms. However people underestimate the damage that is being done to the rest of the team through this whole thing.

The damage done from their own supporters cheering for the opposition, the damage from everyone in the football world accusing them of throwing in the towel when they fade out through lack of fitness, from their own administration publically saying that they're better off losing. People here just assume they'll get over it and suddenly play like a million bucks next year because they've got another couple of good kids or because those same two-faced supporters will suddenly cheer for them again. But anyone that thinks that all this doesn't affect their development, and that they're just going to forget about this chapter in our history, is absolutely kidding themselves. These aren't robots we're talking about here.

Don, I'm sure the club has in place shrinks to offset any negative impact that the tanking talk from supporters will be having on the players.

I think you will find that most, if not all of the pro tankers are looking for development of the playing list rather than wins.

Most pro tankers would have been pleased with Jenna's performance on the weekend and had Denis been there, I can tell you that Saddington would have had a go on him, which is not development.

Our performance on the weekend was based on the kids with minimal or no input from Fev or Lance.

Find me one quote where any poster has said that getting #1 next year will "suddenly turn us into a force", I could easily counter that by saying...

Winning another game this year won't suddenly turn us into a force, as many here seem to think.

I don't think anyone reasonably thinks that it will turn us into a force but it will help. With the addition of a class big man and a couple of midfielders that can run the lines and use the ball I believe we are well on the way to being a force. A couple of years maybe but atleast we have the developing cattle for it to happen. If we can also get a very good midfielder in the PSD I believe we are in really good shape.

A future Goal to Goal line of Jamison, Austin, Gibbs, Kennedy & Cloke added to a midfield of Carazzo, Stevens, Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson, Jackson, Betts, Russell, Walker, Blackwell & Grigg plus an Ebert & Maybe Rioli we have amazing potential.

Add that to a ruck line up of Kruezer, Hampson, Cloke & Aisake.

All looks positive to me.

The question is can we get the best out of them?

And the answer to that has absolutely no bearing on the results of the next two games, win or lose. :P

Do they make them wear headphones while they're on the field?

What point would that be? That not one person here says that winning a couple of games will suddenly make us finals contenders, but that others feel that Kreuzer suddenly will? But...that's MY point. STOP STEALING MY POINTS!

Not at all. I just don't need to. Open any thread that involves the word KREUZER, and you shall find the answers you seek. Why, if I had a nickel for everytime I've read the phrases "10 year player", "Imagine the midfield of Kreuzer, Gibbs and Murphy. CORR!!!" or "We'll be pushing finals with this kid leading the way"...well, I wouldn't be hanging around here that's for darn sure :)

C'mon Camel, you're the admin here. You know how many deluded souls we have.

It rolls off the tongue better than "5-cent-piece" I think :P

If I had 5 cents everytime I've read the phrase "the confidence gained from a win" or the "demoralising effect of another loss"...

No matter how you say it, the comments and your critique of them still work both ways. ;)
