Rhys, whilst I agree with you, the boys will be running out onto the G to win on Saturday and no amount of discussion on this board or amongst supporters will change that fact. And when we come away with a big win against the scum then some of us will rue the fact that Kreuzer is gone but Ratts and his men were always going to go out and try and win every game. And because the scum are sh!te we will beat them.

The only way I feel better about not obtaining Kreuzer is by being optimistic about the prospects of Aisake and Hampson. There's our future and we will still add a quality kid at Pick 2.

The boys will go out and do what they are supposed to do - try and win.

Its so true what you say.
I think we have a got a good list and if we had a proper coach this season I reckon we could have won around 8 games. Imagine if we get 2 picks inside the top 3 there is great potential to be a premiership contender in that not too distant future. Winning the priority pick would given us some solace for what on field has been a very ordinary season. Take the gold while its available look what collingwood did in the 2005 draft. Ask some of their anti tankers whether they would give Thomas back instead of a round 20 win. To win flags you need A grade talent and the best pick in the land is available if were are smart enough to take it.

Believe me I would love 1 & 3. It might mean the difference between a top list and a premiership list. It could seriously come down to one player. But for all my hoping for picks 1 & 3 I am accepting the fact that the way this weeks game will most likely pan out will mean that it we will enter the ND with pick 2

It's a dilemma, do we hope for an elite tall and classy midfielder or one more win in a poor season?
Let's hope things pan out right for us and we get picks 1 & 3. This will give Ratten a great mix of talent.
It would be foolish to miss out on a very talented ruck prospect because of one more win in lack luster year.
Ciao

My thoughts exactly.
I see the potential in the side, an extra win or two in junk time won't convince me anymore. Lets top up now and hope the team can start to play to potential next year.

Haha, given the amount of air time the tanking debate has received, my comment probably fits right in.

Haha, I've thought that too. As we know Terry Wallace has a track record of ignoring KPP types come draft day. So, should we win another game this year Wallace will most probably pick some other Nathan Brown lovechild pigmy type leaving us to get Kreuzer in any case.

Close this thread fellas.

We'd have to put in an Academy Award performance tomorrow to lose to the Bombers.

Can't see how we can lose.

what the point of winning a worthless couple of games were 2 of the best prospects can be on our list next year which will set us up for good like collingwood in 2005, with thomas and pendle

What you're saying would be absolutely correct if the boys ran out with the choice of trying to win or not trying. The fact of the matter is that they try to win every game and even with selection policy limiting our chance (putting Thornton into surgery) we are still going to win against the scum.

The misfortune is that the scum are such a sh!te side. What can we do?! Ratts and the boys will run out to win. That is unquestionable

Go ask Ratten if he wants to lose ask the 22 players on the field if they want to lose.

I would love the two early picks also but you cann't tank. If where not good enough to win then so be it.

But if we win then don't go crying Ratten wont loose sleep over a win.

Tanking....

tanking...

Now why hasn't anybody thought of this before?

Pro tanking or against it, I am resigned to the fact that I have absolutely no influence on the result of this (or any game) - so I'll be watching it hoping we win (as always) but won't be left disappointed if we don't.
