Kermit.. Deluca is a great kid who does everything that is asked of him.
Hes come off 2 foot operations and a shoulder op over the pre season.
We did rush him back and hes probably low on confidence.
You really cant play blokes like Bryan on default until he does the basics.
He cant fall over in a competition for the ball with a guy half his weight.
He has to push himself harder to run into the forward line and then back..
He must pick up a man.....

Look there are things Denis wants his talls to do. Mott Lindsay Smith and Bryan (so far dont do them) Deluca does.
Deluca will always get a gig before Bryan because Bryan doesnt do whats required and lets face it he isnt tall enough anyway.
Bryan will probably get a gig at some point.. but Denis isnt going to just play him because he is taller than 192 cms...

Synbad - I like ADL and have been impressed with a few of his games over the last two years. The position we are currently in (no hope of making finals and more list re-structuring at years end) means we have give guys a go that may not necessarily have fully earned a game.

Later in the year Blakwell and Russell may get games also under this basis.

I disagree, Synbad. Archie has been ordinary for the past few weeks, in fact all year. He couldn't take an easy mark over his shoulders in the first minute of the game UNCONTESTED. It didn't cost us a goal, but nonetheless.

I'm sure ADL is a great bloke, and I question whether he is doing what the coach is asking (little, coz I can't see him doing many team things). I'm not saying he should be delisted or anything like that, but think he should have a spell in the two's to regain some touch.

I liken ADL's form to that of Scotland. If it's good enough for Scotland to be dropped, then same for ADL. There are other tall options.

yeah, I'd send him back to learn the ruck and just play Prender there.
