Fev

In many ways, you have answered with your actions. You have shown the ability to knuckle down and to strat leading the way. I think we will always get something 'a little different' from you, but thats what we love.

Your appearance on TV last night spoke volumes about where you are at and to see you showing the way both with your efforts and your flag flying against Port was great to see.

Well done so far and lets keep it going.

I am fairly pro Fev but for the fact that if we trade him now our stocks in 5 years will be awesome. All the cards are in the clubs court at the moment because fev is contracted. Next year the power is all Fevola's. He can throw tantrums and do what he wants because he will be out of contract. Will the lepard change its spots?

The power is in all in Fev's hand now and next year!!!!!!

He can't get traded unless he wants the trade/approves it
He can stay if he wants n the club player him in the bullants all next year if they want.

Are we done with the Fevola crap now? can we move on??

[quote="AIRCAV"]Apologies if my sentiments don't match everyones. maybe Fev will read this and understand. maybe he won't.

An Open letter to Fev

Brendan

I am a proud and passionate Carlton supporter who has watched your career start slowly then blossom as it did last year. I speak on behalf of many supporters when I say how we watch in awe when you go back from 50 and bang it through at post height. How we screamed when you conjured up a miracle goal from the boundary in Adelaide to win the match. And how we watched with pride as you won the Coleman Medal, one of the few highlights this club has had in the past few years.

We’ve taken you on board and supported you with a passion that is reserved only for those ‘special’ players with a touch of larrikin about them. It hasn’t been all smooth sailing, but we rode the bumps content in the knowledge that at least you were “our Fevâ€

The rule only states that they can't be traded during the first year of their contract, unless they give permission. Ie. A club can't sign a player up and then immediately trade them. Nothing to stop Carlton trading Fev at the end of this year if they want to.

If he doesn't want to go they can't force him. What rule is there telling you that you have to go to the the team the club wants to trade you to. If he says no what are the club going to do about it. Sack him and pay out his contract. Don't think so. That's how we got Stevens. Collingwood wanted to trade Didak to Port Adelaide for Stevens but Didak refused to go. Hence Port let Stevens go into the PSD and we picked him up.

No jim. Collingwood never wanted to trade Didak. Port wanted Didak, Collingwood wouldn't trade him thus Stevens ended up in the PSD. Remember, Port decided to release Stevens into the PSD to make a point that they wouldn't be held to random in trades. I can assure you they were making the point to other clubs, not to players.
