The two marks Ebert took in the last were in the pocket suited a left footer so they probably did their homework and assumed he was going to have a shot.

Yes Tbird's turnover resulted in a goal and directly from his kick but tell me what the difference is if a midfielder turns it over in the middle as some did which alos resulted in goals. I thought TBird was did well on Ebert.

Turnovers that is our biggest problem, if we are going to play the possession game, you have to make your pass stick.

I thought Ratts press conference was excellent, told it how it is and communicated well.

Think we are being a tad too critical.

PROS T BIrd made a few mistakes, but this week and last week took on and beat elusive small forwards.
Ackland - I have been one of his biggest critcis but I thought Saturday was his best game. He will never be more than a battler, he hasn't the talent, but at least he tried hard and did okay against LAde who is one of the best in the business
Banno - does the best he can and is a good man around the club. With the right match up he is still value and would be disappointed to see him delisted
Saddo - Has been pretty good recently. Has lost a bit of pace but is skilful, provides good leadership and encouragement, tries to give run, and is one of a handful of Blues who can actually kick a footy properly
Fev - Not so much for the goals but for the effort and the agro. If he can avoid the sulks and become a genuine team player he will retire as a one club star. Let's hope so
Bower - Looking more settled and comfortable
Jamison - Looks to be a bit Karl Norman but with some sense (but unfortunately with inferior disposal). Good future for Jamo which might be bad news for Flinty
Grigg - starting to look more comfortable
Fish - excellent work, has improved accuracy in kicking if not distance. Will be better again in Josh K comes up next year and crashes and bashes
Simmo - super efforts, doesn't seem an extrovert but has shown exceptional leadership

CONS - J Waite - love him, had #30 on my jumper as a kid for his dad. Jarrad has sublime skills, but just still does dumb unaware things. Get him to watch the Storm at training to learn how to tackle the hips not the shoulders.
Disposal diabolical in first half
WHo do we delist? I can see 2 or 3 elevations and even if it is a weak draft we will take at least 4. I have two retirements and McLaren Teague Raso maybe Flint (we can re rookie), maybe an unlucky Cloke. I would definitely retain Saddo and I think Banno deserves another year.
Going to be some tough decisions
A week ago I didn't know how we could lose to the Dees, now they may have found form, but the Bombers are a rabble. After 6 years of pain I can take 3 more losses. For once I don't want to beat the Bombers and I hate myself for it

Pros - The third quarter
Cons - the other three quarters

same old, same old

we fall asleep for parts of the game
we make stupid mistakes over and over again, 63 clangers this week
we go goalless for an entire quarter :x
miss gettable goals we should be kicking
playing 1 quarter of football
requiring a 'REV' up to go out and play football
not getting enough goals from our midfielders and smalls

kicking 8 goals in a quarter is great

BUT we should not have got ourselves into a position where we need to kick 8 goals straight, just to get back into the contest.

midfielders

Pros:

Great game from Eduardo Betts... playing him in the midfield and having him more actively involved in the game keeps his head in the game. Permanent FP is a very difficult position to play and easy to loose concentration. The switch to midfield has surely helped and will probably result in more goals next year too.

Bower and Jamo were really good in patches.

Simmo unreal. Second, third, forth efforts were inspiratational.
