Just love this concept. Our current ruck syndrome has been labelled 'McClokeland'. See the AFL Insider -

If we happen to land Kreuzer there might not be any Clokes on the list.

Cam Cloke was playing well for us until he was injured, and can only improve under a more positive Coach.

Cam Cloke has yet to prove that his body can survive the rigours of AFL. A big risk using a place on the list for him, especially if we can draft Kruezer and promote Aiseke and/or Jacobs.

Didn't Cloke have his contract extended mid-season?
Anyway, Mclaren should go before Cloke.
Cloke would be a good backup with our young team atm.

I think Cloke will be given another contract next year, however, I'm not sure how long he will last at the Blues. As John pointed out, I have a few concerns over whether or not his body, particularly his shoulder, can hold up.

That said, he will a suitable stop gap in the meantime while Jacobs, Hampson, Aisake and, if the football gods will allow it, Kreuzer to develop.

Hampson Aisake Kreuzer Ackland Cloke Jacobs.
That's six ruckmen for Carlton seniors and Carlton reserves.
Five maximum I reckon with 2 in the seniors and 3 in the reserves.
One of the above has to go if we get Kreuzer.

Yes budzy; but ATM; only Cloke and Ackland are "Senior" ruckmen.....three are kids learning the trade in the twos....and Kreuzer aint ours !

Cloke doesn't have to be played solely as a ruckman. He could easily play CHF or CHB. I don't think he's tall enough to be our full time ruckman but he would definitely help us out while our younger ruckmen learn their trade in the Bullants. I think there's potentially a spot for him on our list for at least the next 3 years but I don't see him being in our next premiership side.

Ackland and Cloke will be reasonable KPP options either end.
Their big bodies and relative mobility are an assist to the team.
Kreuzer, Hampso, Aisake and Jacobs will be our .rucks. That's a Rucking divison to be proud of.
Ciao

Can't see how the club could justify having all three in the same side, regardless of positions.
Kruezer would go to at least our number 2 ruckman.
IMHO, Cloke is still the better ruck option/more versatile option than Ackland and would be a better option as a marking target up forward when not in the ruck.
Ackland's centre bounce ruckwork yesterday was as bad as I have ever seen.
He has no timing at all.
Ackland hasn't shown anything to suggest that he could make a KPP.

IMHO, Kruezer and Cloke should be the first 2 ruckman, followed by Hampson, Aisake and Jacobs.
(Supposing that we don't recruit any established ruckmen over the summer).

If we keep Fev, our forward options (talls) would be Fev, Kennedy, Hartlett? Whitnall?? Waite and Fisher.

Backs would be Carlos, Thornton, Jamison, Bower, Austin, Hartlett? and maybe one of Bannister/Saddington for experience.

Hard to make a case for Ackland in any position, let alone as a KPP.

Without isolating Ackland's centre bounce work yesterday.....I thought he was a very good team contributor all day.

Have to agree. I've hated him for his effort earlier, but he improved 100% on previous games such as against the hawks. Still not great, but you couldn't accuse him of not putting in a lot of effort. One game doesn't make up for the others though.

Can't understand why Kruezer's name is being used.

We wont ge the priority pick.... not a hope.

We will win against Essendon* and probably against Melb.

Why is everyone so convinced her is ours???

Totally agree SnickersS. I really just hope that we tank and get this pick. It just doesn't make any sense at all to win another game, it really doesn't. The priority pick will be abolished soon and if we don't grab this with two open hands, then we are the stupidist football club on the planet.

He will be a great addition to any team and Carlton, who have neglected the ruck spot since Madden retired,

I'm sure that there was an All-Australian named M. Allan and a B&F winner called C. McKernan who played out of the middle since Harry retired - others I think that neglected is a strong word

It is pointless discussing Kruezer - we will beat one of or both of Essendon*/Melbourne
