I believe we can forget about priority picks. Why ? Because in all probability , we will kick Essendon*'s arse and wipe the floor with Melbourne.
Which will have us finish on 6 wins , and while it may not suit some, it will at least instill confidence into the playing group and the club in general ,that the wheel is finally turning in our favour.
I hope Ratts is appointed asap and then it's over to the recruiting staff to have a ''blinder'' on draft day.

Apparently winning games can't instill confidence in a young group...only 18 year-old draft picks can. We know this because we sit at home on the internet, unlike those nuff-nuffs actually playing and coaching the game.

You must be new

New to what? Admittedly I've been out of the country for a week and a half, but the last game I saw was the Brisbane debacle, and if today's effort wasn't a marked improvement on that then I'll give the game away. You've totally misinterpreted what I'm saying.
Unlike some I WANT TO SEE CARLTON WIN EVERY GAME.
What has to be established now is who among the kids can or can't play at this level . We got beat , bad luck , but there were a lot more positives than negatives . Don, I've been around a long time and I doubt there is a whole lot about Carlton or the game in general that you could teach me.

Sorry Don I tend to take our mob's situation a bit too seriously at times.
Actually my sarcasm detector is probably not the only thing in need of a service.

It's interesting, in light of what the Kangaroos did last year and Collingwood the year before them, and Hawthorn two years running, that people think clubs don't engineer a lower ladder position as part of a long term strategy.

Gee, judging by their efforts this season, the Roos players psyche must have taken a real battering after they shut up shop with 8 rounds to go last year. And collingwood didn't seem to recover after the pain of landing Thomas and Pendlebury courtesy of booking half their senior list in for elective surgery in Round 17 2005. I think players are, on the whole, smart enough to understand how the system works.

It has happened and it will happen again. Because the people running clubs, unlike many fans, are pragmatists (not that I'm saying this is a bad thing - fans should be far more emotional than administrators).

If we can't work with the PPs we've scored over the past three years, we should all give the game away. Appoint Ratts, let him develop the playing list, delist the deadwood, and let's steamroll through 2008- - - (no end date) like the club of old!!
