We've got the honourable loss down to a 'T' (for Ta....)!

PROS (mostly senior rather than younger blokes today)

1. Fev - star and will play for CFC next year according to our CEO

2. Simpson - I cannot give enough praise. Has raised a notch since the captaincy. A sure thing for VC under stevo next year.

3. Scotland - played well

4. Fisher was unreal and can kick (on both feet?!)

5. Jackson and Jammo - might be players

CONS

1. Russel - a few Waite-like half efforts, couldn;t get near it.

2. Ackland - my favourite bit is when he doesn;t jump and gets the free. Give me Kreuzer!

3. We could beat Essendon* or Melbourne the way we are playing

4. Leg speed - we're slow (are cotchin or Ebert quick?)

5. 1st half was embarrasing - too much chat-back and hopeless turnovers

3 MORE TO GO! (It won't be easy though, thought I saw a limp on Fev :P )

BTW, why weren;t we wearing navy.

Pros.

- The 3rd quarter
- Simmo's efforts all day
- The continued rise of Jamison
- Fevola handing it out.
- Fisher's marking ability.
- Murphy looked very good

Cons.

- SKILLS
- Thornton gifting a couple of goals.
- We lost.
- Russell looked a bit lost all day.
- Not enough Gibbs on the ball.
- We couldn't match up on Westoff.
- Cornes walked off the ground.

Fev turned it around after looking like he was going to spit the dummy
Simmo's workrate
Workrate of team improving after looking like it would turn into a 20 goal loss
Grigg getting his hands on the ball
Jamison's performance, he is quick and can play on talls and smalls

PROS

Ratten teaching players how to rectify there mistakes

Fisher's accuracy!

Simpson is leading the team by example (many 2nd and 3rd efforts)

The fight back

FEV 4 goals

PP still alive and one game closer

CONS

Bad skills and concentration lapses

Pros
A great fighting effort by the boys and could easily have been blown away
Brad Fisher another great performance -left foot goal and baulk sublime
A glimpse of midfield of the future Gibbs and Murphy
The captain kade simpson another terrific game
Hollywood Fevola for his efforts
Games into Jamison grigg bower blackwell Setanta
Saddington and Bannister may be on the de-list list but gave some experience and poise
Centre square work after half time
Ratten appointment soon
Still in line with PP
Cons
The umpiring in the first half -murdered us
That Cornes guy is an arse
Port flat track bullies but about as good as the Carringbush
Disposal -clangers cost us in the end
Will beat Dons and DEES with that effort
Injury to houlihan

1st mistake anyone can make
2nd poining at teammates not guarding the mark Ebert to Wilson
3rd arguing with field and boundary umpires Ebert to Lade
Don't tell me he doesn't deserve a spell

Pros
what a great comeback!!!! carlton is becoming a very entertaining team
Fisher - did he have super glue on his hands today or something.
Walker - I love this guy he's just so agro
Murphy - great as always

Cons
Skill errors
Skill errors
Skill errors
ACKLAND
ACKLAND
ACKLAND
Thornton keeps on stuffing up.

PROS
Made a contest of it
Jamieson - reminds me of Karl, I hope that's where the comparison ends
Grigg & Bower starting to get a feel for it - hopefully like Kade Simpson did.
Murphy did well.
Fisher's four quarter effort
Jackson was thereabouts
Scotland across half back
Ratten's gameplan shows it can work, now for a four quarter effort

CONS
Last quarter fade out
Saddington and Thornton's disposal
Clangers in the first half

PRO or CON
Not sure if Fevola's four goal quarter is a PRO or a CON. In a top four team fevola would kick a ton a year.
We'll win one or two by the end of the year

PROS:
Simpson-was sensational
Fish-gee he'd be close to AA half forward
Fev-stepped up when needed
Kids-esp Carlos, Jammo, Jacko, Grigg, Bower
Great way to lose gain
Ratts has made a difference
PP still alive

Cons:
Ackland-even though he tried hard in the last. He's not a ruckmen which basically begs the question. What is he then????
Ist Half
Cornes is the biggest idiot I've ever seen play football. Takes after his old man.
Thornton-did we flower up re-signing him last year or what?
I'd so dearly love to beat the scum this week. But then again we'd probably be screwing them more by losing... :-D

Conversely to you all; I thought Bannister beat Cornes all day as he did earlier in the year.....Ackland is improving each week, and plays the loose man well; and IMO, Saddington played OK too.

We're all so quick to lavish praise on the kids and give no praise to the others like Scotland et al.

Pro's

A great fight back
Fev's third quarter
Simmo, a great captains game
Fish, great hands
Eddie again played well on the ball
Jacko, Jammo, Gibbsy, Murphy in the second half, Griggs and Bower, and Carlos

I may get shot down here but I thought Sugar and Saddo had pretty decent games.

Cons

Umpire Chamberlain, what a flower tool
Cornes #1 (kane) biggest actor for a free kick, even bigger than Rivaldo. Fev hits him in the chest goes down with hand on the head.
Cornes #2 (chad), Fev should have given him one after the game.

Gotta love Simmo flying the flag when Fev got put down by a shirt front.

I love the look of Jamison - he has a real fluency in his movements and great poise with the footy.

I agree entirely with your thoughts.
Acland played his best game for the club. Finally played with some intensity and passion why has it taken 18 rounds???
Bannister was great and Saddington was good as well. Hopefully both are retained for next season.
Grigg and Bower I think will get a lot of self belief from their performances today. Both got better as the game went on. Hopefully they can now believe that they are up to AFL standard.
Gibbs looks great in the middle. Him and Murphy will be unstoppable in 2 or 3 years time especially if Hampson can come on in the ruck.
Simpsons leadership is outstanding his 2nd, 3rd and 4th efforts sets the example for the kids. Compare his efforts to Lance Whitnall who always has his hands on his hips.

And I agree with yours ! .....it's a different Carlton Team we're seeing now.....unleashed and freed up and will keep improving.

Ackland played well against the Power last time around too. In fact, I'd rate that game much higher than today's effort. mrs camel reckons we need to get our opposition in Port jumpers every week.

Other pros...
We didn't roll over and die.

Cons...
Our turnovers in the first half, and for most of the game, were bloody woeful.
It seems it is now illegal to attempt to spoil an opponent in a marking contest.

- Ackland - how can he still be in our best 22?????
- Will most likely beat the Dons and the Dees at this rate
-Chad Cornes wasn't carried off in a stretcher after a brawl with fev...did anyone hear him after the game talking about fev...arse...I'v hated him for years but now ever since he didn't shake banno's hand after he killed him I detest the guy
