The media latching heavily onto the tanking debate more and more each week.
They probably read some of the garbage that has been written here for the past few weeks, or talked to supporters at the ground. It's no wonder they think the whole club is "in on it". The closer we get to rd 22, the more attention it's going to get from all corners, and the longer we have people here saying things like "Phew, that was a close one" the worse it's going to get.
We can't complain about the attention this has been getting in the media (well some of us can) because we bring this on ourselves by behaving as if a win will tear this place asunder, and celebrating when Rocca kicks a goal on us.
Whether we win another game, or rd 22 comes and goes without a win, I just hope this shit stops and we can all be united in our quest to succeed again. I hope to not hear another word about this after rd 22, a shameful time in our history if you ask me, and a time I want to erase from my memory.
Very well said Don, and I will be the first one to agree with you on this, as I am sure many others will, but I believe you are telling everyone here things that the majority already think anyway.
1. No one here, pro-tankers or anti-tankers want our boys to continue losing, nor expect that we will continue losing after the end of the season.
2. No one here, pro-tankers or anti-tankers have any influence on the outcome of the games.
3. No one here, pro-tankers or anti-tankers thinks that we don't deserve a priority pick this year, based on our poor results and constant ass flowering we have received from the AFL over the last 5 years.
4. No one here, pro tankers or anti-tankers really deep down wants Carlton to lose. It is merely a case of taking positives out of a bad situation.
I, for one am looking at all the games ahead and thinking that the main (and possibly only) chance that we have of winning another game is against Melbourne in the final round. I am just being realistic. No one can argue that our form over the past 18 rounds suggests that we will win any.
I do not wait for the weekend to see our boys lose and enjoy it, but I do watch them hoping they put in a good show and watch how the young guys are developing. The last two weeks have made me very satisfied, not because we lost, but because I have seen the efforts and the development, and (finally) a new game plan. The fact that we have lost those games is totally irrelevant. I can accept the loss because I can see change and development.
If it comes down to the last game and we still haven't won number 5, I do want us to lose, but it will be the first and last time I will ever to "barrack" for a loss, only because by then it will be well and truly meaningless, especially since the Melbourne team will have far less reason to win than us.
I am right behind you for the resurgence of the once-mighty Blues Don!!!

Demetrispew put this system into place last year to screw us out of what was rightfully ours after finishing on the bottom for TWO successive years and that is a PRIORITY PICK at the beginning of the second round instead of at the beginning of the first round.
We are now playing the system to gain some extra elite talent on our list something we so desparately need.
Its up to the AFL now to go out to the media and bare face lie to them (shouldn't be a problem for Demtrispew because lying is what comes naturally to him) that clubs do not play the system to their best advantage.
The AFL shit in the frypan now they can eat it.
Couldn't agree with you more AGRO, it's time for the AFL to get what has been coming to them. I will personally love watching that fat flower Demitrispew squirm under all the scrutiny.
