Walkers game. (glad he finally held on to a mark too!)
Carrazzo - another solid game off half back.
Betts starting the match in the centre. (don't know why he was taken off, thought he was doing a great job)
Pagan moving Teague off Perrie (although he was way too slow for Welsh)
Fev's defensive pressure - outstanding.
Thought Prenda battled well in the ruck (did a much better job than Deluca)
T-Bird and Livo worked well together.
Lappin and Houla playing forward.
No injuries.

my positives

->walkers game on mcleod
->livingston, morrell and thornton were very solid in defence as was carrazzo
->scotty being somewhat accountable for the first time in a while
-> eddie's first quarter and a bit on the ball
-> fevola and whitnalls presentation and attack on footy, more so fev's chasing down of opposition players

overall i thought we would have won if barney played

Positives -
Carrrazo,
Walker
Digby

Not a positive but...
In the last quarter we are surging forward, Wiggo is clear, no pressure and bloody awful disposal - straight to an Adelaide player! At this level it is not good enough. Not doing himself any favours at all.

DeLuca and McGrath too one sided, slowed the movement down, again not doing themselves any favours.

Much better in committment but sklls are far too low and that is why we will finish way down (this year!)
Go Blues

Wiggins in only in the side because he isn't slow like Bowyer and can tag an opposition player. Bowyer's disposal is at least as good as Wiggins who misses targets at training!

agree i thought he gave us something when we came on.

in the end our disposal when it counted (in last 10-15 mins) killed us, as well as having no real number 1 ruckman cost us as well.

after todays game, no doubt, absolutely postively have to delist simpson, bentick and clarke.
stay tuned and watch this space, more to come in future rounds.

Maybe Clarke, but the other two?

Sometimes I don't think people realise what they are posting before they post it.

sometimes i think people watch too many bullants games.

Sometimes I think people should stay the f*ck out of the positives thread. Start up a thread called negatives if you want to vent.

Fev's attitude was a plus for me. Clarke, Wiggo and Prenda provided some toughness. Diggers played hard. We look heaps better with Livo down back. We battled on all day and didn't give in. We contested well without a recognised ruckman.

Sentanta kicked 5...

Quote:
Bullants coach Barry Mitchell said O'hAilpin, 22, was still learning the game.

"He should have kicked seven goals," he said. "He still has some areas he needs to get better in."

And other players are pushing for a run.

Quote:
Carlton coach Denis Pagan would be pleased by the input of his senior list players Troy Longmuir (27 touches and three third-quarter goals), Justin Davies (31 touches), Heath Scotland (24), Glen Bowyer (21), Brett Johnson (19) and long-kicking ruckman Chris Bryan (16).

Much better overall team effort today but missed french - if we played in this fashion a couple of weeks ago we wouldnt have had the recent hidings
Also much better start in getting early goals

Positives

Carrazzo better hitting targets this week and provides some run also good that he is part of the midfield rotation
Livo looked good today and much more composure from him when he had the ball
Thorton looked good and backline looks much better with livo at fb and thorton at chb
Betts good move from pagan starting him in the centre and hopefully will become part of midfield rotation - needs to improve fitness to play more in the middle
Fev really good game -strong marks -good leads and good chasing
Walker a really good game on mcleod and was also positive when he got the ball
I thought campo and stevens were both good today working hard back and were more team orientated
Tackling much better today
Digby is an enigma but was very good today albeit he was the spare man in defence
Room for improvement
Still dont do very well with the kickouts
Shooting for goal - still need to be more efficient
Bentick simpson waite de luca and wiggins all down a bit but will improve
Need to recruit a genuine second ruckman - been toiling with part timers for far too long
Teague has really lost form

Summary- long term view
A much better effort and at least we are getting more games into young players
Should keep defensive unit -carrazzo livo and thorton for the rest of the year- Backline looks much better with both livo and thorton playing
I would like to see both davies and scotland come in to add to midfield rotation
Fisher would add to forward line
Wouldnt drop simpson or bentick give them another go
Walker at 19 could be anything looks fantastic

Walker - best game since his 1st
Livo - straigtens us up down back and played very well today.
Carrazzo - was critical of his disposal earlier in the year, but today provided excellent run and good disposal
Betts - played in a new role rather than the standard forward pocket (excellent way to learn the game)

Positives? I'll give you a positive...............i'm POSITIVE that if Bryan played today we would have won.

Honestly, you name Bryan and Clarke as emergencies, then bring in Clarke when French doesn't come up? What the hell is up with that?

But wait, there's more................ and let me know if this makes sense to anybody else because it has me dumbfounded.
We Drop Prendagast due to poor form the week the bullants have a bye, then bring him back in? What the hell does that prove to anybody? "Yeah Prenda - you've been quite poor latley so we're gonna give you a week off to do NOTHING??????

Why in the @#$%&! start Waite, DeLuca and Whitnall on the bench at 3 qtr time?

What in the hell is going on with our kick outs? We stand there, wait for the kick.......giving the opposistion all the time in the world to gather their troops, man up and read the play we're creating BEFORE we even create it!

But, at least we showed some BALLS! We showed some spirit and i find myself for the first time all year thinking real hard about who was B.O.G because in my eyes, the boys played as a team!

Anybody else get a little pissed of to see Thornton so far up the ground rather than back in D50 when the game was there to be won? WTF?

This week, i'm not at all blaming the players! I thought the majority put in 110%. Tatics, coaching staff and general game plan was the result of our loss today!

Well done to Fevola for trying his ass off today!
Well done to Carrazzo! God damn i'm excited about him. Is it wrong that i find him sexy?
Well done to Stevens. Better dissposal and general use of the ball this week!
Well done to Lappin. Haven't seen him play like that for a while!
Well done to Walker. Playing as a tagger is always tough, especially on somebody like AM.

Then you obviously didn't see Bryan ruck in the VFL.

There's no doubt we put in a better effort this week, but I though conversion by senior players in front of goal in the last quarter cost us the game, whereas the tactics, coaching staff and general game plan kept us in it all day when we didn't really deserve to be. But hey, everyone sees different things.

Fevola: Gee, good when he has ROOM TO MOVE, ISN'T HE??

De Luca needs to be told, good effort mate, but you are not good enough.

When Prenda get more hitouts than you, you are in trouble.

Learn to take a grab and you may be OK, but...
