Was at the Bullants game today and noticed Whitnall come off and ice was applied and strapped to his knee. Looked in all sorts.

Retire and put him on the long term injury list and lets look at Jacobs.
Its all systems ahead now for the young kids.

just a precautionary measure - he was only ever going to play 2/3 to 3/4 of the game.

He looked in really good shape - even in the red jumper - but didn't play too flash.

At least Kouta knew when to give it away.

At the end of the year I hope Swannie and Icke sit down with both Lance and Lappin and say "look, you've got two options...retire or be delisted, we know you've both got little value on the market, so we believe that it is in the best interests of you both to retire now"

There is no way we can justify keeping both of them, particularly Lance, around for another season.

Just to clarify to everyone:

Lance Whitnall is 27 years old

Bit premature to call for his retirement a year after he was our B&F.

The Bulldogs are about as likely to trade Griffin as we are to trade Marc Murphy.

Never going to happen.

I picked bulldogs for one prime reason only

they have no tall forwards.

one has to wonder what they will give up for two tall forwards?

whitnall/hartlett.

can't see the bulldogs moving forward without tall forwards.

who knows how desperate they are, do you?

one thing is for sure, it was their achilles heal this year and it will be an area they will want to rectify come trade time.

whatever the rate.. we are probably the only club with many tall forwards on our list.. hartlett/whitnall/fisher able to shake their foundations..and griffen is the player you would chase hard... you would even throw in a second round pick.
