Pros
Carazzo....keeps getting the footy
Fev....did the job
Jackson...good disposal, hss some class
Simpson....nice game
Jenna Jamison....good debut, solid skills, well done to Gavin Crosisca.
Bower..did some good things at times.
Grigg looked a bit lost but he got another game under his belt and i think he can look towards slowly building a career like Kade Simpson has done...

Special mention to Jordan Russell...9 tackles..thats we want to see..well done
Lol Jenna!!!

Cons
Still bullied by the big KPP's down back
Houlihan was pathetic vs Thomas in a couple of marking contests.

Overall a good effort and a respectable loss with Kruezer still on the horizon...

1) How was that "holding the ball" against Carlos in 1st?
2) Why was Murph not given the free when being held off the ball just before Davis's goal?
3) Give Bryce's opponent an Oscar for that drawn free at about 6:30 to go in 2nd!
4) WHO PUT HOOPS IN DEFENCE (and against Davis!!)?
4a) Good call taking Hoops off Davis … but 2JR?
4b) Who put Hoops on Thomas?!!
5) Why the hell do we keep Ackland in the ruck?!
6) OK so he kicked a goal straight away but why fix what's not broken? Carlos swapped w/Saddo & Saddo's goal answered by T Cloke's 4th (comment nullified by the change back)

He did kinda drag it back in but it was still a pretty weak free kick

Positives

Youth, Jacko, Jammo, Russell, Bower - funny what the kids can do when they have the backing of the coach. They are playing like they would have in their junior days - they seem to be enjoying their footy.

Fev - showed what he is capable off AGAIN - Can't understand how some want him traded for picks that may deliver nothing :?

Last quater - Jacko to Gibbs to Murphy to Fev - GOAL :-D

Blackwell definitely playing his part - will get better.

Ackland giving a contest - for TC's that want him dropped please tell me who we can replace him with :? I'd also play McLaren so we can play Setanta back. McLaren and Ackland aren't much chop but we need a big body down back (last week it was Reiwoldt/Fraser and this week it was Cloke/Rocca)

Ratten - the use of Murphy, tagging early on and then he was let lose in the third quater and he he gave us plenty of drive.

Negatives

Waite - great goal but does not play the percentages, falls to the ground, half tackles and needs to do more. He is one of our senior players and he plays to much like a millionaire for my liking.

Agreed.

Tall forwards performed well.

Midfield won their contest overall. Good to see Scotland out of defense and back in the midfield, and return to form.

Negatives:

We still need to get more goals from either small forwards or midfielders. Very interesting when you compare our goalscorers with most other sides. This is an area we really fall down. Need more goalscoring smalls/mediums. Also need more defensive mediums as well. Hopefully Anderson can really develop in this role next year.

Pros
Russell, Jackson, Bower & Jamieson

Cons
The Melbourne game will be a real worry. We need a couple of injuries and/or suspensions.

I just think it's fantastic to see the unshackelled kids play positive footy ..long overdue and very refreshing to watch. They'll come on quickly now and the club's gonna be ok :)

Con
The media latching heavily onto the tanking debate more and more each week.

PROS

1. Game Plan - We actually play proper 21st century football now rather than crash bang nonsense. This doesn;t mean Ratten is 'the one', it just means Pagan was a tool. We created space for leads, and played leading hit-up footy.

2. Russel - a certain poster remarked that he would never play well under Pagan's crash bang hypothesis, and that a change would help. Played the best half of his career in first half.

3. Bower - read point 2. Both 18 and 2 went a bit missing in second half but at least we saw signs.

4. Fev - I said at the time of the ruckus that trading him would be laughable. Today confirmed my thoughts. Irreplaceable unless a dream deal arose.

5. Setanta - hard not to love him. Still heaps to learn

CONS

1. The PP system - anyone who reads my posts knows I want the tank, but getting worried about the Blues playing well, and sitting at the G wanting Rocca to kick goals made me feel very unclean. Let's just lose the next 4, win the last PP ever and get it over with.

4. They better de-list Saddington and Bannister

4 more till Kreuzer - Melbourne looking like a big worry. I say play 20 on the field and call a count.
Simon – agree with your pros, even the Fev bit; especially the “toolâ€

I want to know how Skinny didn
t get a game although with the number and quality of the kids we have left (except Aisake  ), we could give them all a guernsey and not miss either 12 or 8 .. though I would like to see 12 for fear of the delist talk being answered

He won the most hitouts on the ground yesterday

No need to slag him off blindly

Pros
Russel
Fev
Jamo's debut
heart and soul effort.
Fisher and Simpson turning into top AFL players.

Cons
Not having my man Walker in the team as he is a player who i would just love to watch under a different coach...reckon he'd start going for those speccies again 8)

As an Aside I don't think Ackland did that bad I have a feeling that he was a bit overweight and has a lost a bit since and he certainly didn't play his worst game for the team yesterday.

They probably read some of the garbage that has been written here for the past few weeks, or talked to supporters at the ground. It's no wonder they think the whole club is "in on it". The closer we get to rd 22, the more attention it's going to get from all corners, and the longer we have people here saying things like "Phew, that was a close one" the worse it's going to get.

We can't complain about the attention this has been getting in the media (well some of us can) because we bring this on ourselves by behaving as if a win will tear this place asunder, and celebrating when Rocca kicks a goal on us. Whether we win another game, or rd 22 comes and goes without a win, I just hope this shit stops and we can all be united in our quest to succeed again. I hope to not hear another word about this after rd 22, a shameful time in our history if you ask me, and a time I want to erase from my memory.

Synbad, I'd like to know your thoughts on Brett Ratten..

I think he's terrific for our team and young blokes, has the backing of the team, they play for him and i'm really starting to warm to him as our coach..

I believe he has a real idea of where footy is at, where our team is at, and how to better develop the group as a team. I like the boy.. :)

Your thoughts on Ratts as coach??

Btw i believe had we had a coach like Ratts from the start of the year, we could have easily doubled our amount of wins by years end.. Instead of being pleased by the improvement and development from individual players, we can be happy ith the development of the boys as a TEAM..

The growth of this group is evident and its nice to watch unfold.. Refreshing to see a new game plan too!

But we wouldn't be getting the PP then. [Sarcasm] You don't care about the club! [/Sarcasm]
