1AW gained invaluable experience running with McLeod...and beat him by the way.
Carrazzo showed poise and cemented his spot in the team.
Livo...see Carrazzo.
AB again showed good poise at times...must persist with him in the team.

Overall very satisfied with the effort today.

Well we only lost by 14 when it should have been at least 60 ( is that a positive? )

Walker - Good tagging effort , played accountable footy and got more attacking as the game progressed , nice mark too.

Livo - Very good game , first up from injury , did lots of nice things and has better foot skills than some of our midfield

Denis - At the start of the game we had a pretty good setup - carrots and betts in the centre , campo up forward , we also shyed away from the heralded game plan a bit too which was nice to see, also responded quickly to incorrect matchups at times instead of letting them drag on

Carazzo and Morell were good in patches too.

I thought our 2 key defenders did very well. T-Bird also provided some run out of the backline. AW's tag on Mcleod will be very good for his development

for me:

livo showed good poise and balance.
carazzo kept running and presenting and hitting the ball hard.
stevo kept running and presenting.
walks would have gained a bit from today.

we showed spirit etc, but really don't think you can be satisfied.

Walker run with McLeod... and his nice mark and kick to Fev.

Livo back with a game under his belt. :D

We didn't have over 100points kicked against us. :D

The boys had a Red Hot Go... and its all we can ask for week in week out.

Camporeale not playing receiver as much any more and being reasonably accountable.

Livingston showed how much more important it is to have him in our side.

General tackling and pressure except in the last quarter.

Livo, Morell, and T-Bird making a fairly good foundation for a back half.

Efforts across the field, (even if the skills didn't back it up).

after todays game, no doubt, absolutely postively have to delist simpson, bentick and clarke.
stay tuned and watch this space, more to come in future rounds.

A couple of the lesser lights in Simpson and Clarke did a couple of good things today, not really much else mind, but they both went hard at the ball which was good to see.

Walker did a sterling job on McLeod and I think Denis freed him up in the last as both players had a bit more freedom. I'm really glad that AW was able to do the job on McLeod all day, might be a bit early yet to claim he's TTC, but he played a good team game today.

Happy to see Livo and Tbird put in two solid efforts in defence, with a few more games under their belts they'll be reasonably reliable contributors.

We did okay without Barney, but still need to desperately strengthen our ruck stocks.

I thought Campo was a bit harder today. Fev put in some really good gutsy chases and AFAIR only had the one stupid 50m against Basset to blot his copybook today. Missed a couple of gettable shots on goal and expect to see him out practising a bit during the week.

All in all it was G&D that kept us in this game, we weren't pretty or flash, but at least showed some ticker for 4 quarters today, and that is the biggest positive.

Clarkie in the team !!!! 2 good assists. If only that damn siren went 10 seconds later in the last, Clarkie was running nicely through the center.
He did seem to get a bit under in his kicks though,or so it appeared on TV.

Morrel was the one I was most happy with.

Fevola deserves a bigger pay cheque and his inability to have a greater influence on games is because those feeding to him are so inept that I'm suprised I havent seen him do a Richo. Give him his contract. If he goes to another club I'd be very pissed off.

Stevens was himself. Thornton and Livo make the defence look a bit better. I feel sorry for Teague having to play on bigger opponents like that.

I was mostly happy with Walker but hope he can iron out some of the cinks in his gameplan (such as keeping your feet). Still, for a teenager you can't complain.

I actually though Clarke did okay. He played with passion and bashed, crashed, tackled and did whatever he could.

Agree that AW did a top job on McLeod.
Carrots was very good under a lot of pressure in defence.
Ditto to Livo & T-Bird
Digby Morrell was very good today as a floating defender
All in all our defence was pretty good for the amount of ball that was down there
Our Mid-field was not so good today though
Kouta, Stevens & campo were reasonably good today but had little support
Bentick did some nice things in heavy traffic , but his lack of leg speed and average disposal let him down, worth persevering with though
I thought Eddie did some nice things in the 1st quarter but obviously does not have the aerobic capacity to play in the guts for a whole game
Deluca was very poor today, Prenda was prefered to him at the start of the last quarter and IMO was much more value around the ground
Time I think to throw Chris Bryan in to see what he can do, maybe even get him to be the go to man for long kick ins as we seemed to kick to short options too often today
Up forward Fev presented well today, and skinny also, but those two were the only ones who looked likely to kick multiple goals today, Eddie and Waite were quiet.
Anyway, thats the way I saw the effort today

Maybe Clarke, but the other two?

Sometimes I don't think people realise what they are posting before they post it.

Livo was very good, killed McGregor.

Carrazzo was good, Morrell was good, Stevens, Campo and Lappin were very good.

We clearly missed Barnaby French.

PJ, was clarkie that bad that he needs delisting ? I thought he did a good job when he was on the ground. It surely can't be because he's too old. He only turned 25 last Sunday.

Betts zipping around on the ball and getting poleaxed by Roo, only to bounce back up unlike Houlihandbag at Optus a few years ago.
