PROS

- Ratten did nothing wrong (interesting matching Sadds up with Rocca)
- Fevola (poor form this season yet still top of the goalkicking)
- Saddington kept Rocca Goaless for awhile
- Our young kids played their hearts out Jackson,Murph,Bower,Gibbs etc
- We lost
- Decent 2nd Qtr for once
- Pagan is gone

CONS

- Ackland, get rid of this useless waste of space

Hearing everyone celebrating a loss for another week

You really are doing it hard, you're on two threads. :P

I've just gone from listening to 2 hours of dipshits like Lyon and Frawley going on about how little we have to gain from winning this game, to seeing my fellow Carlton brethren relieved and celebrating a loss against our oldest and most hated rivals.

Yeah, I'm a bit pissed.

I hear you Brother,
Dopey Lyon said twice that The filth were getting on top & both times we got back in front, the bloke isn't even bright enough to be called a moron.

It also saddens me greatly to hear while walking out of the ground an old female Carlton supporter turn on me because I said I would have loved to have Won today, what have we become, where is the pride in the colours that we wear to the footy & the love for a club that has given us so much in return, seriously the day you want to lose you have forgotten what it means to support your team & should have a good long hard look at yourself & maybe have a good look at the faces of the players & the coach.

Oh and also remember Kouta, wanting to tank shows a lot of respect to a bloke who has given his all & [REDACTED] his body for the Navy Blue Jumper.

Pros:
Spirit shown by the boys
Jackson
Jamieson
Brett Ratten

Cons:
Losing to @#$%&! collingwood

Poor crowd turn out to say goodbye to a champion

Pros:

- When was the last time we had a backman who could close a player down on the lead? Jamo is going to be good with a few more kgs.

- The kids actually look like top draft picks under Ratten.

- Fev and Murphy show in the second half.

- My boys JR and Jacko continuing to improve.

- Blackers took a big step ahead of Bentick IMO.

Cons:

- Ackland's inability to contest in the defensive 50 in pack situations.

- Bentick is just to slow to make decisions with the ball.

- The tank move of Saddington back to defence on Rocca, Carlos into the ruck to relieve Ackland. Saddles was on fire at that stage

Back from the Game and have to say after watching last weeks game against the Saints and today against the Pies there is a lot to like

Well done Blues for a great effirt i saw things today that i havnt seen in many of the games where Pagan has been the coach

General pat on the Back for the Young Blues some of the Smothering / Shepparding and tackling where awsome today.

There was good effort and spirit back in the Blues camp which again havnt seen in a longtime

Fev was great today and after hearing he was quite ill makes even more reason to how he played... that kick in the last quarter 70 Meters out some of his hip and shoulder of the ball ... chasing tackling well done Fev you Played like you want to part of the turnaround

Kids played well and for each other .. Russell great game again / Jackson impressive back up effort after last week.

Someone Criticised Saddo but he played well today

1st quarter we dominated but with out being 2-3 goals up

Ratten 2 weeks and really has impressed with how he has the young blues playing..with limited time in chaging from the fossilised game plan under Pagan.

I dont have a con because on todays effort we could easily have beaten the Pies

If Ratts gets the gig and has a complete preseason to guide the young Blues he will be an impressive coach

BLues showing a lot more now the Pagan shackles and bombing into forward line game plan has been removed

There definately some good positives to take into 2008

We backed up last weeks effort and enthusiasm. If Ratts keeps this up he'd have to be a monty for the coaches job wouldnt he?

Great debut by Jamo, shame he didn't sneak that goal in. Stupid party pooping goal umpires.

Con
Why did we take so long to piss Pagan off.

Pros:

-Jammo's debut.
-Russell's game, presented well and did well.
-Some of the lace out passes to fev
-Fev played really well and his 70 metre goal today was better than last weeks IMHO, against the wind and landed in the goal square.
-I thought the defence did well in the first three quarters, the Scum got a few soft goals from free kicks.
-Looking into the future and seeing some really good players for the future. The team will grow together.

Cons:
Not caring whether we win or lose.
The yellow canaries do they know they are wrecking our great game.

Please give Austin and Flint a game next week..............

Pros
-Jamieson
-Jackson
-Fev is back and at the moment first place in the Colmen Medal race!
-Fish
-Murph's first quater tackle on Dale Thomas
-Russel, best game of the season
-Carazzo - 36 possies
-Captain Simpson

Cons
-Hackland- What a useless excuse for a ruckman
-Bano on Cloke
-Sado on Rocca
-Fev didn't bash into Didak and start a brawl this time

Werrrd, on all counts.

I'm completely disgusted by what's going on right now.

While I understand your frustration, I want to lose the remaining games this year. Obviously there's other places for the tanking debate. But if we get the priority pick this year, we'll really be ready to build something special over the next 5 years.

PROS:
Terrific competitive effort.
One loss closer to regaining some of the picks we should've got 4 years ago.

PROS:
Going to the game
Super competitive effort and the Gibbs - Murphy - Fevola passage in the last (missed the goal though)
Blackwells get and give to Fev after it looked like he would blaze away (and the players all running to him to pat him on the back)
Russell - his best game
Liked Jenna J's debut
Setanta'a goal in the first Q
General spirit and commitment
Being soooo glad I don't barrack for Collingwood - Joffa is such a tool

CONS:
Not hurting Collingwood's finals chances
No ruck division
Not really caring we lost
Having to sit near the Collingwood cheer squad because my mate pre-booked seats and didn't check where they were (He's now been sacked from ever organising anything football related)
Function at Federation square - players were great but only 4 of them - what about Walker, Cloke, Lance, Stephens?????

Ackland didn't totally suck
Good signs across the park from the kids.
How good is Carrots?!

Yes, Ackland has had a shit year, but those calling for his head today aren't all there

He did a reasonable job today, quite a few hitouts to advantage and did get his knees dirty at times

Thought he had the better of Fraser

PROS:

Our skill level seems to have gone up with Pagan gone

I love Jacko - it's a big wrap but he has some Judd-like qualities. Give him a season or two of proper opportunities.]

CONS

Sitting next to a Collingwood feral (well, my missus actually) whingeing about the umpires' alleged favouritism towards us. Couldn't see that 9/10 times we were first to the ball and the filth players were just up their usual dirty tricks. She even though Thomas should have got in the back when he was shoved out of the way for trying to stop us from kicking in.

PROs
Players with roles
Players backing themselves
Young blokes getting game time, PROPER game time
Waite's and Carlos's goals
Didak not kicking a bag

CONs
Thomas walking off alive. Pretty much a weekly staple for me.
Ackland believing that standing still and watching Fraser soar over him time and time again constitutes 'ruckwork'.
