There is some sort of relief that zig & zag are coming out saying that they dismiss the notion of tanking and that people should stop regurgitating this topic.

But as always, that fat flower smith is intimating that Swann pretty much admitted that we aren’t trying and that we are tanking. I would suggest the club keep a close eye on what this fat turd says as his comments go beyond being mildly scurrilous and could almost be construed as defamatory. Swann has never suggested that we aren’t trying only that we will test as many kids on our list as possible and still go out every week and try and win. Flower he is an @sshole!!!

Sorry folks but these comments boil my blood!!! :x

Fatprick Smith was the one who wanted us penalized back to the Stone Age for Salary Cap rorting Black Friday 2002.

Fatprick Smith wanted us to get our just desserts for working outside the AFL rules.

Now that we are working within the AFL rules he doesnt like it.

What is the problem now Fatprick???? Do Carlton have too many Number 1 Draft Picks on their books.

Are you like the health inspector who looked at Bart Cummings stables and said you have got too many flies and Bart's response is "How many am I supposed to have??".

Go flog yourself Fatprick and maybe write a piece on what an ordinary District Cricketer you were, and what an even more ordinary journalist you are.

Maybe you could get some real balls and write a piece on your great mate Ron Evans - who you scarecly laid a glove on during his years of conflict of interest as AFL Chairman and during his time as Essendon* President when he too was in charge of an administration that was guilty of Salary Cap rorting.

Your really are a tosser and a fat cauliflower.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I can only imagine the outrage from Smith if his beloved scum were finally penalised for their own rule breaches from back in the day.

The players have been told to goi out there and win !!!

But we still need to sort through our list and see who can do what.
You cannot have a list of forty odd footballers and not be allowed to see your own players.
They can all go and get [REDACTED]!!!.. each and every player will bust their gut to win football games.....

Smith isnt the only fatso who's upset.
Dwayne is fuming that Carlton is going to get pick 1 and isnt trying to win and he wants the rules changed now.

Let me guess, last year when we missed out on #1 Dwayno thought the AFL was doing the right thing? :garthp:

Why the long faces?

I reckon it's great to hear these whingers squealing like stuck pigs.

No way the AFL will be able to change the rules for the upcoming drafts. Pratt would hire as many lawyers as needed to tie the AFL up in litigation. Or he might just go for the jugular and sign up Judd and Pavlich outside the draft, and join with the AFLPA to bring down the draft rules as a restraint of trade regarding free agents. The AFL knows it has to be careful.

And there's just no way that they'll prove a charge of bringing the game into disrepute. Just keep Sticks away from the booze and the microphone at the B&F presentation and we're home free.

Which means we can do what we want and revel in the outrage from some journos and Richmond supporters.

Seriously, enjoy the whinging. It'll be music to my ears. And I'll be hoping that the AFL pulls the rug from under Richmond next year by getting rid of priority picks entirely.

He'll only start complaining about the Father/Son rule when Jack and Ben Silvagni are due to be drafed in 2017 as well.

Its funny because I broke my boycott to listen to Sports Today last Tues to get the latest goss on Pagan/Carlton and they were interviewing Anderson the Magnificent.
Dwayno was going off. Abused Adrian for the PP system rewarding teams who don't try. Threw in some personal abuse and said he was sick of commentating on teams who aren't trying to win. He had just done the Carlton v Sydney and brisbane games on Fox. Anyone else would have punched him or told him where to go but Anderson just took it all. Very unprofessional.

Come to think of it, I should have emailed the station and told them I was offended by Russell's treatment of a respected guest

Yeah I suppose, but it still irks me to hear these floggers! I should change my slant on all this as Indie suggested and revel in their annoyance...

Next 5 rounds will be interesting, especially round 22

Heard the interview also.He was disgraceful and a few callers rang to say so.If anyone could be accused of tanking its his precious Geelong after the effort they put in last year.He also never mentions how they have cleaned up with the father son rule.I cant believe i actually thought he was ok on channel 9.

Patrick Smith and Dwayne Russell aren't punished for being complete flowering tools.

How's this for a method the AFL might use to stuff us up a bit if we qualify for a priority pick before the draft.

The AFL declares that Richmond finishing on 1.5 wins was well outside expectations when they came up with the new rule, and it would be outrageeous if they didn't have 1st pick in the draft. So they decide that Richmond's priority pick should be moved to the head of the queue in the interests of fairness.

If Evans was still alive and on the Board, that would be a real risk. Hopefully, Fitzy kills the idea if Richmond go to the AFL with it. And at least we could count on some opposition to it from the other 14 clubs, if only out of self-interest.

How many wins did Bitchmond have last year? If they finish on 6 points (remember, it's the points, not how many wins you have), would they qualify for a PP?
