Good work Sparky. Though the fact you had to defend yourself in the first place is really quite sad.

Is this the much ado about nothing thread? And, no, I'm not referring to Sparky's original post. ;)

Good to see you think it is a good thread too. Mind boggling that someone would wade in here and poo poo it for some unknown reason. Seems to be their MO.

Sadly Camel that's what happens when people start attacking the integrity of the thread instead of discussing the actual topic.

Maybe if I start one regarding the debate about tanking, or bagging Pagan - the thread won't be shot down so easily. :?

I'm just going to keep my mouth shut from now on if I see or hear anything. It's not worth it.

Great thread this.

How come?

Whats the point to it?

Do we really need to know?

It reeks of someone overhearing a few words and putting 2 and 2 together to come up with 5.

Why were they only noticed when voices were raised? Sparky being a Carlton supporter surely would have noticed a bald Mil Hanna standing with Sticks.

I doubt Hanna is nieve enough to believe the search for a new coach has only just begun.

It's a snow job, then??

2 questions come to my mind Sparky.

1. Was this conversation heard by yourself, or relayed by someone else?
The difference being, if the former, its a legitimate report. If its the second, I take it as pure rumour and usually a load of crap.
I got no problem with you posting that but how you came across the info is important. Most people can read these things with a grain of salt. You would be surprised how many people take evreything in print as pure gospel.

2. Why the Herald-Sun like title?

If you keep a healthy perspective about posting rumours, don't take yourself too seriously and expect the questioning while not taking it personally then you'll be fine. The key is in the middle point of my previous sentence.

;)

1. From the horses mouth, I would have specified if it was second-hand knowledge. Everything reported as I saw it, perhaps slightly embellished to fill out the post a little. I can be honest with that.

2. Tony De Bolfo is my idol.

Camel, totally agree with this - a little thick skin does help when it comes to return fire on this forum... but IMO more important that those you have pointed out is to not take OTHER posters too seriously. Emotions and opinions can be easily amplified over the net - you don't have to say things face to face to other (or in my case, you might be posting inebriated) so posts may come across harsher than they are meant.
